Is the Ethernet cable bootloop amongst those bugfixes?

If required, i will be very happy to provide log files and what not. Just tell me how i do it

For now i tested with 2 different routers (an old one and a new one), 2 kitkat roms, and we ruled out all human error by testing thoroughly, both with and without DHCP, and turning on/off the auto-negotiation.

I still have the same problem no matter what i do, and i would really, really love to have kitkat with Ethernet cable.

This is only an issue with 4.4.2 roms. I never had this experience with roms before.

1 - plug in ethernet cable (cat 5e)
2 - go to settings, turn on ethernet.
3 - select static IP (i use these values below, but all values gives boot loop)
IP: 192.168.1.3 (this IP is free on my network)
Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
dns1: 208.122.23.23 (unblockUS dns1)
dns2: 208.122.23.22 (unblockUS dns2)
4 - reboot (now i have bootloop)

Does anyone else experience this?

Funny thing, if i do the exact same thing via wifi, there is no problem (but it gives me slower connection of course)

Quick 'review' of Wasser Kitkat 1.0.0 rom

- Lovely to see a custom boot animation

- New shutdown-menu is very nice, but i miss 'reboot to recovery'

- I have 2 SD-card icons in top left. I can't seem to make them dissapear. But this issue i saw also in earlier versions

- Autohide toolbar is AWESOME!!!!! but when you're deep into Play market, you have to tap right mousebutton like crazy to get to the desktop again. Also, not possible to change to another app. Maybe middle-mouse button could toggle toolbar, so you can reach it easily when inside some application or something?

- More about aotuhide toolbar: When in Play store i select to install an app, Google shows me a window with 'accept' button. There i can see empty toolbar in top and bottom of screen.

- Under Sound settings, i would love to toggle visibility of 'volume up/down' icons in toolbar. This is because my keyboard has physical volume up/down buttons.

i can now reproduce the issue, thanks for your testcase. And i fixed it!

please download the services.jar and copy it to /system/framework then reboot. No bootloop!!

I copied file with eStrong, and with Root Explorer, but now at bootup, it says 'updating apps' and counts to 83. Then i get the error 'unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped', and if i click 'ok' the error pops up again. I have a new loop

What would be the correct way to copy the services.jar file to the folder?

I flash with rk 1.7 on Quickshot v3 FYI... maybe i have to do something because of TRWP recovery?

i cannot reproduce this problem, it looks like the firmware is not flashed correctly.
Please try to flash again
