      flickering

Just tried the 0.95 firmware hoping to fix the screen flickering issue, but no luck.

So far, the best firmware that somewhat works is the official 010b, that the flickering is not that severe, but still goes blank every few seconds.

      010b: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfG0paXCFq4
      Kitkat 4.4.2 .95: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZJGYKbISSw

I tried everything I could, changed HDMI cable on various ports, tried different resolutions... This is me right now ->

If anyone knows how to possibly fix the issue, please let me know. Thanks!

I tried .95 on both of my X7's one hooked to my Samsung LED 55" and the other to my RCA 42 both work fine 1080P 60HZ, I cannot repeat the flickering you have. Can you try a different TV?

Hi Frank, thanks for your reply. It did work on my other TV in my living room - though I don't want to believe it is a problem with my Sharp TV. My PBO works perfectly fine on the TV on 1080p/60hz, and I bought the Minix to upgrade the PBO. I suspect it is the signal strength not sufficient for the TV?

              Work's fine

After using quickshot v2 for a few weeks I now replaced it for kitkat 0.95. Until now everything works fine for me. But I've only used it for a few hours... The only negative issue for me, compared to quickshot v2" was that the notifications panel is at the top left corner and I have to drag it down with my mouse. Only a left mouse button click on the top left corner would be nice. For the rest compliments to Wasser

Having issue with 1080p then change to 720p to see if problem disappears.

1080p/60hz is the only mode that kinda "works" for the TV. Other mode just gives blank, and returns back to 1080p/60hz when times out.

                    Kernel

Xbmc not running smoothly, maybe I have to install the 1080p kernel, but I don't know how. Please help...

Installed .95 and have issue with google now "unfortunately, google search has stopped". For google search, Tried clearing cache, and delvik cache with no success.

Also, seems the screen sleeps after a couple of minutes, where is the setting to disable?

Has anyone tried Amazon Prime or other videos from browser in full screen? If so, how was the experience?

I've tried almost all ROMs and so far Hardware Guru ROM is the only one that gave me smooth video but I'm facing some other issue with it so looking for an alternative.

Go to developer options in Android settings and tick "stay awake". The screen lock can be disabled in the security section.

Am I right in thinking that now sound manager has been ported over, that the libmedia.so still needs to be patched to allow pass through in patched versions of xbmc, like beyond xbmc?

Exactly - that is what I am eagerly waiting 4.

Tried this rom for a few days, beyond xbmc does not work properly(slow...) It worked perfectly with quickshot v2. I also couldn't install the 1080p kernel. Maybe I'll try finless 1.8 tomorrow.
