Are you complete sure you have 1.8.2 installed? I thought I fixed that problem.

The trouble was that Pipo installed non-ART compatible apps as system apps. I went and replaced them all with ART friendly versions.

If that's the case, you may need to install that gapps occasionally to keep them up to date. It sounds like they aren't being saved properly. But this only happens if you have the tablet set in ART.

I don't think the problem is limited to gapps. One of my first tests was with my usual installed base of apps (about 225), and on every reboot it would "upgrade" 68 of them, on every reboot. Once I saw the problem, I quit testing with that many apps, because it would take 45 minutes for every reboot.

I don't think their are 68 gapps. While it's possible those 68 apps are not compatible with art, I believe that is highly unlikely.

I used to, but not now. Before running the tests I mentioned above, 1.8.2 was reflashed clean, including erasing idb.

I had to use the 6gb parameter file to have enough space for all those apps with art. That was when I was getting the 68 apps that needed upgrading. Maybe that is a clue.

But I also tested with the default 4gb parameter file, with a very small number of apps, and it still had a few apps that needed upgrading.

I'd like to know is there a combination of this 1.8.2 Rom + Kernel + libril to have a full working system aI mean Good 3G+strong wi-fi+Deep sleep?

I haven't find solution yet maybe my fault, if i have Deep sleep i have no 3G and vs.

Just upgraded... possible screen issue?

I just upgraded my Pipo M6 Pro to the KitKat 4.4.2 RileyROM 1.8.2! WOW! I'm so impressed with the change in performance. I'm actually going to keep my Pipo now! Thanks guys!

I do have an issue with QuickOffice. It opens fast to the app, but as soon as I tap Open File, the app crashes.

Also, I can open WPS Office fine, but when I open a Word doc, the top third of the doc only (not the bottom two thirds or the menus at the top) starts to scroll to the right of the screen??

Any ideas if changing a Kernel might help. I had the Very Low Voltage 2.0 kernel installed, until I discovered this problem. I reflashed the original kernel and tried a few others, but problem still persists.

Any help would be appreciated!

First of all thanks for this great rom. My m6 pro was slow and sluggish with jelly bean roms. Now it works fast....great!
But i have noticed that camera isnt working on 1.8 rom. To be honest it didnt work on 1.6 rom on my tablet toi.

When i try to turn the integrated camera app on it says: "Camera error - Can't connect to the camera".
Everything was working fine with original pipo jelly bean ROM. Than I installed Riley ROM 1.6.1 and it suddenly didn't work. Now I installed 1.8 ROM and it doesn't work again.
I don't use cam on tablet so its not a biggie, but the flash is not working too and I would like to have it as a torch.

Most likely a ribbon cable inside needs to be reseated or something and just coincidence it happened when you installed ROM. You could go back to stock if you wanted to check.

I have the same problem, camera throw's that error when I bring up the app camera. I purchased the Pipo 8 months ago, and I've been with stock ROM since then, and camera it's been working without any issues. I decided to put this Riley ROM yesterday and now it doesn't work.

I don't think it's a coincidence. Something have to do with this, maybe Kernel? maybe different hardware revisions of the same tablet? I don't know ... i'm only talking supositions.

I didnt' use the camera anyway... but I want to post it and let know that smokva is not the only having this issue. Appart of that, I'm glad to use this ROM, the experience is much more gratifying right now

Hi, I'm a new user of your KK-rom. Having a Pipo M6 Pro wifi 32gb since a few months, I was a little disappointed about it's performance. Reading your forum I got interested and installed it a few days ago. Your manual was very good and installation took only a little moment; chapeau!
I was pleasantly surprised about my tablet's new performance. Thanks for this wonderful job.
All seems to work fluently.
One thing which is strange: we use a Medion NAS and when I stream my photos only diagonal coloured stripes apear on the tablet. With the original rom I hadn't this problem.
But over the whole I'm impressed.

Sorry for this probably stupid question, but (1) this ROM probably does not work on the original M6 (without GPS), right? and (2) if so, does anyone know if there is a KitKat ROM out there for the original M6?
