1.8.2 fixed some bugs. You might benefit from that update if you experience problems listed in post #1.Randy

Re: Pipo M6 Pro RileyROM 1.8 KitKat

i would like to know what is the benefit for me to switch from a 1.8.0 to 1.8.2 ?
If i decide to upgrade does all my apps and files will be cleaned ?
I have a m6pro (no 3g)
thanks for your answers :-)
If you are planning to change to the art runtime from the default dalvik, you may need to change to the 6gb parameter file, especially if you install a lot of apps. If you do that, it will also format the internal sd card , so you would need to back those files up, and restore them after the upgrade.
I've been pleasantly surprised with my conversion to art. I was having one or two sod's a day before converting, my tablet has now been up 120 hours straight without a reboot!

1.Will this ROM Work for Pipo M6 Pro 3G?
2. Does this ROM have the option to turn the HD Mode on/Off
3. Does this ROM have any issues/should I use another ROM? Thanks in advance!
2. NO, Kitkat doesn't have this feature
3. Kitkat ROM is the most stable and faster for the m6proif you appreciate my efforts this is the link for any donation:

Back to Dalvik from ART
Sadly, I have had to go back from ART to Dalvik. No matter what I did, I would get the "upgrading Android" message on every reboot, then it proceeds to recreate the cache every time. Of course with ART, that can take 30-45 minutes if you have around 200 apps like I did. It wasn't an issue earlier, simply because ART was so stable, I rarely had to reboot.
Toward the end of my testing, I would just flash the stock ram and kernel (after erasing IDB), and after it booted up (but before connecting with WIFI and any google account), I would switch to ART and reboot. The first time it would go through and update 76 apps as I expected. I would immediately reboot again, and it would want to update 2 apps again. Every reboot after that would also want to update two apps. I switched back to Dalvik, and it updated 76 apps again (as expected), I would immediately reboot and it wouldn't update any (which is normal).
Randy, I captured a logcat I can send you if you want to look at it. But there must be some bug with 1.8.2 as it relates to ART.

Are you complete sure you have 1.8.2 installed? I thought I fixed that problem.
The trouble was that Pipo installed non-ART compatible apps as system apps. I went and replaced them all with ART friendly versions.Randy

ART comatipble gapps
Originally posted by Crandy2 View PostI didn't go into all my test scenarios, due to the space involved. In other scenarios, I would connect to google, and let it update all the gapps (which I assume would prove ART compatible versions of all of them). It didn't help, I had the same problems.
