Guys,
Speedtest app can give internet speed, not LAN speed.... Or i missed something.
I just copy a movie from my nas with es explorer to see average LAN speed with Samba protocol. And i do same with nfs folder. And speed are pretty bad....

010 stock is max ethernet speed all the time.

The internetspeed must be max all the time i think. Ethernetspeed is much faster then that.

Sorry.... bad technical terminology on my part! I should have said using ethernet not LAN (like the cable name)
I don't have a NAS setup. The primary use of my X7 is XBMC and the odd TV app.

Reading the thread on the other forum it does look like the stock 010 did perform well on the LAN data transfer.

The pin nrs of the x7 are different but they in the same place.

well followed the instructions and no luck. Even tried another adapter and can't breath any life into it. It is odd that when I plug the power adapter in the optical audio port will blink red at random.

I just finished erasing the nand and before I clicked to flash the rom the minix box disconnected (windows made the device disconnected sound not physically disconnected). I tried putting it back into flash mode and it doesn't seem to do anything at all. No blue light in the front either. Is there anything I can do or is it bricked?

I had the same exact problem solution is you have to hold the power button in the entire flash process after it installs the software you are able to boot into recovery mode but this fixed mine i wish you luck xD

Maybe I pushed the TCPIP buffer too far this time. I used something that really speed up AML logic ROMs and tried it on this ROM. But myself, I did not test Ethernet. I just assumed they would work.

If this is the case I will whip up a new boot.img for you to test this theory. I assume you want a 1080 boot for this testing correct?

Guessing just uncheck everything in flashtool except boot.img. just like flashing different kernel?

okay guys after trying to install the ROM I went by the read me first note and got stuck after clearing rom before flash the new one.now after that I can get my minix to my computer it connects for a second and then disconnect . I've tried multiple times to reinstall the drivers and it just does not work.my previous ROM 1.8 finless and I have all my drivers installed correctly any help would be appreciated thank yprou

Read post #141 or there are other suggestions at the bottom of page 6. Using the technique mentioned in #141 does do the trick for most...

its bricked. he must put in in maskrom mode like i said. only way i know is to shorten the pads.

Could you please give more technical details about the TCP tweaks you've applied?
I'm using right now the QS3.1 KitKat rom and have a troubles with getting a good streaming of IPTV without constant buffering, so I'm trying to make it better.
Your great rom is unfortunately causing a constant flickering on my TV, so I can't use it...
I mean - I don't expect you to write a tutorial, just give an information like "you have to change a values x,y,z sitting at /etc/somewhere at boot.img", and I'll go on from there.

I also tested my Ethernet speed and it is slightly better than Finless 1.8, but not as good as 010 stock firmware. I connect 1Gb Ethernet PC with Fast-Ethernet X7 throught UTP-cat6 cable, and I got 6MB/seg (about half the 100Mbps i should get) and a bit unsteady rate.
When using Finless 1.8, I got about 5Mbps at most and a really unsteady rate (some peaks and a lot of cutoffs).

BTW, I'm using 720p boot, faster than 1080 in my X7.
