Just use an Exacto knife to lightly pry...and either a credit card or a guitar pick to hold your place.

Cheers
Actually just realised that I was trying to prise up the end of the ribbon. The flap is on the far side of the connector for some reason.Last edited by Nordo; 15 October 2014, 04:48.

At the other end of the ribbon, the zif connector is reversed. i.e. the flap is on the other side to where the ribbon goes in. But the ribbon had a black end to it that LOOKS like the zif flap, and that's what I was trying to lift.
All good now.
Still haven't fixed the unsensitive touch screen.
Have sent a message to Anna Ye, hoping to get a solution.

The kernel is unique in that it can't be unpacked or repacked. It is compiled in binary from the original source code. The only way...except for modifying it with a hex editor...is to have the sources and compile your own kernel.
This is the reason we have started the Pipo-Project. Hopefully, we can get the source code for the M9 so we can modify things like that.
I'm receiving some files from Pipo today...but until I can actually see them I can't know for sure what they contain. Stay tuned...in the next 24 hours we should know what we have.Randy

WiFi (Q)
My max m9 with KK is very slow, using wifi, the reason why I say this, is because, I have a SGT 3 and I use it in the same place where I use the M9, and the SGT 3 seam to pick up wifi better, I first thought it was because of the day and time, so I tryed the m9 an SGT3, on the same day and time and the SGT was way better.
Now with "JB 4.2" the wifi worked better with (M9), but now that I have KitKat 4.4.2 it does not. Has anyone else had this problem, with KK, or is it just me?

Your trouble may be in the 64gb SD card. The RK3188's are limited to 32gb. I would try a different card just to see if that solves the problem.Randy

I have a 64gb card and it works fine for writing and reading. I only had trouble with a second ext4 partition for mounts2sd, but I donˋt want to blame that on the card because I think similar problems occurred with lower capacity cards. Try formating it again in the tablet. Many cards are faulty too. Try to check it with h2testw under Windows. Many cards seem to not perform so well when they warm up.

You might try formatting it NTFS.Randy
