Does it suffer from the a/v sync delay when viewing YouTube videos on a web page or is the audio and video in sync? Thanks.

      Hi, love your ROMs!

Do you think I would be safe for me to try this? I opened up my Pipo M9 Max which on the back says 16GB, but when looking at the chips it's seems like I have two of em looking at the same position as photos from post

So I DO have two NAND if I'm not misstaken, but still only 16GB. So is this what it should work on?

      Thanks

From what I've seen the two nands normally have the number 8 handwritten on each. if you have two nands then these ROMs should work.

I'll give it a go. Seem my tablet is a perfect candidate.

          AndroidTool v2.1 reports the following:
          1. On Download Image tab press Switch to place tablet in LOADER mode
          2. On Advanced Function tab press ReadFlashID and ReadFlashInfo

          ReadFlashID:
          Get FlashID Start
          CS0: 45 DE 94 93 76
          CS2: 45 DE 94 93 76
          Get FlashID Success

          ReadFlashInfo:
          Get FlashInfo Start
          Manufacturer: TOSHIBA
          Flash Size: 8192MB
          Block Size: 4096KB
          Page Size: 16KB
          ECC Bits: 40
          Access Time: 47
          Flash CS: 0 2
          Get FlashInfo Success

I'll get back to you with the results.

It worked perfectly, so now I'm going to test it out.

            Thanks

              Wow, just wow!

This is insane! Best Firmware I've run on this device.

I was running the stock firmware on one of my Pipo M9 Max, and you all know how that is, THIS firmware is how it should be delivered. whatever I do, I just can't make the tablet behave badly. Hope it stays that way as I load it up with apps and start using it.

The tablet is lightning quick. I hope I don't run into any problems as I've seen some others, with the Wifi not coming back after sleep.

              Thanks

I installed UC Browser HD and the hardware decoding/acceleration now fully works with HTML5 videos, theres not one bit of stutter and the whole browser goes like a rocket, lag free and perfectly synched A/V.I didnt think the M9 would ever perform like this it flies.

Be interesting to see whether this official ROM (assuming it's KitKat) bricks people's 1-chip devices in the manner covered earlier in this topic.

The file is named update#117_M9_DS1006_PIPO_1.0.13_3G_NOMMS_20140213 .img and would suggest it's not kitkat to me, I'd suspect it's what RileyROM 2.5 is based on and as such 4.2.2. Anyone who can confirm?

But wasn't Riley's ROM based on what was believed to be a (late-development) BETA?

Think I need to dig back through earlier posts in this forum, including the one for the v2.5 RileyROM and see how the filenames compare; that may offer us a clue.

Unless others can offer us some enlightenment?

But is it a new version of the old version, perhaps there's improvements there as well...

I don't belive so. The version is eccactly the same size like the older Version, also is the build date is the same.

Is anybody else tried using an external SD card larger than 16gb on KitKat?I tried a 32gb card and it totally killed the external SD card reader.Did a full wipe and reinstalled jellybean but its still dead.On jellybean it just used to unmount and corrupt the SD with an incompatible card but with KitKat it appears it may have actually caused permanent hardware failure to the reader,it might have been a coincidence but i thought i should warn people anyways.
