Thanks for the update. In the next few days, I can update the ROM kit with these changes. This may also work on some other recent Pipo releases. I wasn't aware that they put JB apps in their KK firmware.

        Folks,
Someone please confirm the doubt raised by alalca - Does this ROM work on a single 16Gb NAND flash tablet?

        -c

This ROM doesn't work on single NAND unfortunately,chrs11 tried anyways on his single NAND 16GB and had to put it into mask mode to recover it.

Thanks to SirHastur, I've put together a ROM with the tweaks he provided in his above post.

It's v2.6.2. Just go to post #1 for the download link. Give me a few minutes to edit post #1.

                Hi ghforlife,

It will be useful to a lot of members if you give the specific sys info app that u used to identify 1 or 2 nand chips, as someone requested somewhere above.

Personally, I opened my tablet casing to see, but out of curiosity, I went to play store & literally installed & tried about 10-15 sys info apps so far, not one can help me find the info you mentioned, all of them just show total ram & remaining ram...

                Tq.

Maybe i'm wrong but i think that AndroidTool v2.1 can give this information.
Extract Riley's rom zip to your pc. Go to "RK Rom Dumper and Flasher for Windows" folder and run Rom_Dumper_tool.exe to open AndroidTool v2.1. Now connect tablet to pc in flash mode. Then go to "Advanced function" tab. Hit "ReadFlashInfo" button. Now look my screenshot.

Info about number of nand chips is in line "Flash CS".
                  "0" means 1 chip
                  "0 1" means 2 chips
                  "0 1 2 3" means 4 chips
In my case i have 2 nand chips of 8GB = 16GB nand flash size in my tablet.

                    Hi Kandilak,

It's worth a try, I have another M9 I have not opened casing, I'll try this & compare the results...

                      Update:

Seems like both of mine have Toshiba 8gb nand chips while yours have Micron 8gb chips, if the info is correct, however, my last row is 0 2 instead of 0 1.

Now if any member here with confirmed single nand chip M9 can test this out & post the results, we can have confirmation for those who do not wish to open their tablet casings...

PIPO M9 MAX (1 NAND chip) brick

                          Hello to all

I ask right now as just another excuse to harass and my english (google translator), but I'm getting really desperate.
Have to walk my vote for several days without success wake of the brick happened after I installed the "Pipo M9 Max RileyROM 2.6 KitKat" the day it was published.
Have beheld all possible solutions presented in this forum and others on the internet.
I opened my PIPO, done short in Nand Chip, I've used various applications, various usb ports, multiple computers and nothing.
The point of the situation I am in is perhaps not far from success:
now I face the following problem - "Prepare BDI Fail" also has happened appears the message "Download BDI Fail".

Is it possible to ask for a little patience to rrileypm or someone who can help me.

                          Thank you all

Maybe someone who has actually unbricked their tablet recently can help you out. Maybe there's something I've missed.

Running great so far, audio volume was low but installing VIPER4ANDROID FX boosted it to a tolerable level, this is the best ROM my tablet has ever seen,it runs fast, smooth and 3D gaming is lag free.
