How can you install this from stock recovery? I placed the file onto SD card and pressed reset and went straight to my stocky. The recovery.img is not visible through stock either

Did you try boot to ext SD recovery?: Power off, SD card in, hold reset, plug power, release reset after several seconds or until Google TV logo appears. It does not replace the built-in native recovery, but it can by installing the recovery.img into the recovery partition.

I'm looking for TWRP for MXQ Pro+.

Can I use one of the TWRP's mentioned in Abdul's first post? I guess all these devices use very similar hardware, eg Tronsmart S95 Telos....

If buying a beer for someone (Abdul in particular) stimulates building a TWRP recovery for this device, I'll definitely buy you one or more

My problem is when trying to install Remix OS 2.0, which is officially supported by Jide, I get the error:
footer is wrong
signature verification failed
Installation aborted

I thought to toggle the signature verification flag with TWRP recovery. Meanwhile, I have root access to my device.

After playing about with finless 1.0 on my Tronsmart vega s95 telos. I decided to try his remis os, so in your twrp i wiped etc, placed the files onto a newly formatted (Fat32) 32 GB card. Went to install and as you can see TWRP is not picking up the card at all. The card is picked up in both my phone TWRP and my partners same 3.02-0. Is there anything i can do to fix this? I do not have a normal memory stick to try. If no im away to buy a male to male usb and recover the box fully. any help would be greatly appreciated plus i was letting you know of this issue. good work as everything is great. just want my box up and running.

I have tried the M8 version and both K200 ones but still cannot get it to flash the recovery. Any Ideas abdul_pt?

I run your TWRP image on a S805 MXQ that recently buy at roofull.com
First was a little difficult to search and find , but reading the names of the images listed
i deduce that the name are TWRP_2.8.7.0_MXQ.img

Everything works fine: lights , net, wifi , screen Resolution.
Backup Recovery from modified installations as well as on a "out of the package" box.
Now thank to you I have a "Zero" Backup that I have test in the other box , without problems.

So here the questions :
Can I modifiy the files Stored by TWRP?
Can I reconstruct the nandroid image from the Backup files?

In order to modify the image ( I need to remove many apks , remove the Mbox Launcher,
put up to date versions of web browser as well as youtube and netflix) are any better choices to do that?

Modifying other versions of firmware let me in a middle of river: some do not works the LED light , o the wifi performance is poor.

i have MXQ Pro Quick Play, i've tried to put MiniMX_TWRP (renamed to recovery.img) to SD Card FAT16 after toothpick --> no success, then i've tried also to put aml_autoscript and recovery.img to sd card --> google tv bootloop, has anyone using MXQ Pro Quick Play succeded using twrp ? please share your experience here, thanks in advance, and thanks also to Abdul

New on 2.8.7.0 version[LIST][*]Backup of Data will backup InternalSD also, it will only skip TWRP and Downloads folder from internalSD.

Hi, can you please upload a version for this device, without InternalSD Backup?

It takes ages to backup/restore and to generate a MD5 if your SDcard is full.
Backing up the internal SD should be optional in any case...
