Does anybody know what the reasons are for not utilising Kodi, and instead using Gotham. What's up with Kodi so it isn't used? I only ask because all the new istream stuff requires workarounds to get working with Gotham

I'm not complaining, I'm just such a noob still at setting up XBMC to it's full potential and wondering whether it's Gotham that is causing a bunch of lockups and buffering issues (although it looks like the buffering is a problem which JustMe has fixed in the upcoming rom.

Also, thanks a lot JustMe, very much appreciated for all your hardwork. I initially wanted to keep the launcher you had in 1.5 but I've changed my mind now and think you did the right thing moving everything into XBMC.

likely because Kodi JUST came out with stable 14.0 within the last few days... Im sure future firmwares will utilize KODI...

Think of it this way though, the reason you dont upgrade to the latest OS like windows 8.x on launch day(for me anyways...) is because 75% + of your games and apps are not updated to fully work on the latest OS.. the same can be said for alot of our favorite addons... now kodi's been out in beta/rc for quite sometime so most developers have updated their add-ons but at the same time some havent... it being the holiday season does not help expedite the situation either... thats my 2 cents on the matter....

again rest assured everyone and their cats will be adopting / moving to Kodi sooner then later now that a stable version has been released

I installed Kodi 14 (stable) on JustMe 1.5 Port 2 and it did some surprising things. It saw XBMC and copied its config on first execution. A pretty nice thing except it also sets XBMC back to a bare install. XBMC was running Neon skin. The skin is not ready for Kodi, so it made Kodi pretty much unmanageable until I used a supported skin. I agree with Jimmyx that getting to Kodi is a goal, but it needs time for the various developers to fix some issues. The XBMC backup program can save a bunch of reconfigurations along the way.

I am using Kodi regularly, but ready to recover Gotham if I have too many issues with it.

Nope not yet, My keyboard has never seen so many keypresses of "F5" or "Refresh" on my inbox I'm very excited I'm sure JustMe is very busy like all of us its a very busy season! we eat, drink and be merry with family and friends I'm excited to see whether there will be any major changes perhaps, Gotham switched for Kodi? its not necessary but in the future I can see a future update going that way... *I realise that wasn't the reason 1.6B was being made though!!! I wish all fellow supporters of JustMe a Happy, Prosperous, New Year! And All The Best!

Maybe you should start a new thread at your next release, because this thread is overloaded with spam about why to donate, and how and if or if not the people get the link and so on, so that someone who really needs to find useful information have no real fun with it...
(maybe also start a separate thread for nagging )
