ok i identified the problem in the ethernet driver o something related to that because i put an .mkv on the usb drive and worked very well.
Moreover also if i leave the box on the "home" without anything running i get the tvheadend disconnection/reconnection popup. So it's securely related to the ethernet driver.
I also tried to increase the xbmc buffer size but nothing changed.

thanks again codesnake for your hard work!

Is the mxq not lower spec than the m8?

It is similar by specs to MX2, but I don't know for sure whether the OpenELEC will work on that box.

Yes, it has lower specs, but also has some advantages over S802, such as hardware HEVC decoding.
