This rom also works because it's nearly the same hardware. But it isn't identical. Because M8 had another remote your Tronsmart remote does not work with this rom.
Look at the thread's last pages. There is a link to a 5.0.3 openelec for your device (S82 version). Beelink S82 and Tronsmart S89 are exact the same devices. Your remote will work with that rom.Comment

I put 5.0.3 on my G Box Q, works really good for what I use it for. Some audio addons have problems and the stock remote is brutal. I've been using the K400 and that's works great.Comment

"burst of freezes" during video playback
Hi,
After upgrade to v5.0.3 I noticed some "burst of freezes" during video playback on the M8N TV Box. It looks like slow motion video for 2-3 seconds, with random appearance several times during a movie. Otherwise the playback is smooth. Tried to re-flash the image from scratch (zip file), but the problem persists. There was no such freezes on v4.97.3.
I have following settings in video playback section:
"Adjust display refresh rate to match video" = "Always"
"Sync playback to display" = Off (also tried On with several A/V sync methods)

On several of my M8 devices, it shows a black screen with the M8 logo in it. Audio works fine. Same video with software decoding enabled instead of hardware decoding works but not very smoothly.Originally posted by codesnake View Post
Are there any changes that have to be made to the Kodi or OpenELEC configuration for it to run on all TVs? The devices i am testing on are in Europe. Any options you would suggest i try changing to see if it makes a difference?
