Testing this new version on my M8 box.. All is working smooth...
i see now when playing music the screensaver is acting normal.. not going fast and slow.. but nice at one speed..

There is for me now just one litle problem.. which was also in previous version. I have no audio output on AV Analog port..
Is there a way to get this working?

Regards and keep up the great work as i really love it!!

          Hi @Codesnake,

just read your post, many many thanks again, I understood you were very busy last weeks.
I will download tonight and test it.

Just for my (and others?) information, as I am not a software specialist:

AM I right if I ask that every version update from Openelec involve a complete rebuild of your software from your side?
How many hours does this take you each time (on average)?

Are you planning to keep up with the updates from OE for a long time?

          Cheers!

              Hi Codesnake,

I have problems with the HDMI handshake on a 2014 Panasonic TV.

The screen keeps black when I start up. Sometimes I have screen but all blue-ish.

What can I try to fix this?

Didn't have these problem on 4.97.3

                Hello Codesnake,

First, thank you for your hard work on this rom. But i have some problems.

Problem, while playing streaming movies over the internet, or movies from the hard disk. The sound drops out periodically with DTS, DD, AAC audio tracks with auto framerate/resolution switching to 24p Movies in Openelec 5.0.3 for M8 2gb

Wired internet connection is lost after a while. Did a clean install and then have tested this ROM. Wanted to let you know. I'm back to your old ROM.

                Greetings,
                Shinysidewinder

How this fix works? Tried a couple of 23,976 videos and got occasional stuttering. Interesting that just after video starts there were no skip frames and framerate was in range 23,97-24 fps but after a couple of minutes playing the framerate started jumping in the range 19-25 fps and frames being skipped every second. Actually there were the same framerate jumping and frame skipping on Stane's AMLinux that I used before but no stuttering.

                          Play 23,976 movie and ssh
                          cat /sys/class/display/mode

Should say 23hz.Not all tv Can do 23,976 fps

Shouldn't it be the same as in Kodi logs where I can see 1920x1080@24Hz?

                              Hi,

My Problem is solved for now. Set to software decoding in video system settings. Now have nicely 1920-1080@24hz in movies without audio stutter with DTS. DD, AAC, and Stereo passthrough.

                              Setup:
                              M8 2gb
                              Onkyo TX-SR608
                              TV Samsung LE40B650 Full HD

Weird, i think it seems to be a problem with Hardware decoding Amcodec in Openelec 5.0.3 for M8 2gb. Problem is the same with and under 5.0.3 Kerber and Codesnake builds.

On one of my tv that don't do 23,976, kodi codec info says ~ 24hz but cat SSH says 59,9
