Kikat - Wasser Firmware for Beelink R89

Since my last reboot (8 days), i had never seen again mute sound issue!!!
Very strange...

i'm not sure why this rom has perfect playback. I played around with this firmware and found a lot of issues in playback.
for Example:

• AC3 format can not be played
• video stutter
• google play movie doesn't work
• google play music silent issue
• and more ....

What i really like to hear and comments what is better in this firmware and what work in this fw and not work in my firmware. Such feedbacks are important for me to improve the FW. Does the The random audio mute issue appear in this rom?

It doesn't help me if just only tell me it has perfect playback!

I really want to fix the random audio mute issue, but somehow i really cannot reproduce this issue. Without a reproduceable testcase it's not possible to debug and fix it!

So please try to find a reproduceable testcase so i can reproduce it!

I noticed a couple of glitches in Wasser Firmware version 2.0.9a
- Last night just missing the sound of the entire console. ( rebooted , everything came back to normal. That was until only 1 time )
- MX player when watching IPTV HD channels appeared discrepancy pictures with sound for 1 sec ( rebooted , everything came back to normal. That was until only 1 time )

Wasser was simply giving his feedback on another ROM and what issues he found.

ROM's are supposed to be open source, so it's not a case of anybody getting their own ROM, so your first comment makes no sense whatsoever.

Nicely done.

But for me Wasser's firmware has two major advantages:
1. Unified userdata memory with emulated SD card on ext4 file system (apps + downloaded files of size grater than 4GiB).
2. Mouse movement doesn't wakeup device from sleep.

1.0.3 is all I can find too, which may indicate that any constructively critical comments are based on what is available, not what seemingly isn't.

wasser you asked if theres mute issue on hisounds rom, there is not. Tested for over a week. Hope you can fix it in your rom!

It is such ephemeral issue that it is hard to track. Few days after flashing Wasser's RK3288 R89 firmware version 2.0.9a I had at least three random mute problems while watching video. But right now I almost forgot about that issue after watching for more than 20h video from MXPlayer and youtube all week long it didn't happend to me.

Different question. Can anyone connect your device to PC and see files on internal memory? I think in OHC moded firmware and first Wasser's KR2388 ROMs it worked but now I do not get any prompt on Windows 8.1 64bit.

I use MyPhoneExplorer for this and more on all my devices.

I haven't seen kernel source code but it might not include that module.

Sadly, I think that's the case.

Tried on my CX919 with Wasser and D3's kernel and 360 controllers work flawlessly, on this rom everything works but the D-Pad unless in a very select few apps like Moonlight.

Sorely tempted to sell it and get an Amlogic. I'll miss the power but you can't beat the open nature.
