NEW - Wasser Firmware V2.0.4 for Beelink R89/Tronsmart R28

1) is the rom / firmware (Android) and 2) is the kodi version by wasser....
Why don't you want to use the newer 2.0.5 instead of the older 2.0.0?

Of course you can also use e.g. SPMC http://spmc.semperpax.com/ instead of 2)
or install them parallel...

Because i see version 2.0.0 got a lot of item or may be i did not understand if i update version 2.0.5 and is the 2.0.0 version all the item is also inside 2.0.5 Version.

I'm using the V 2.0.5 on my Belink R89 . Nice job Wasser! Thanks a lot!
Everything is fine so far (sound over HDMI), but sometimes when booting the box my external Samsung 32GB SD-Card is not recognized. Removing and replugging the card does not have any effect.
After a reboot she is recognized and mounted correctly and it's shown in the notification bar but it' also shown that i could safely remove the storage. Is this the way it should be?

Have you tested your card to make sure that it's not damaged/fake size? There are lots of 32gb as card going around that are fake, but packaging looks very real. Especially on ****.

If it's smaller than the advertised size you can sometimes still use it if you create a position at the beginning of the card that it's smaller than what hwtest2 or whatever it's called reports as being good. Free tool like easus partition master.

If it's from **** normally they refund and let you keep the card. Shady, because they know cards are fake.

1)Thing that i have try but did not work i extract TWRP img file from folder that i have download for this site ( http://crewrktablets.arctablet.com/?p=4776 ) and i use ( flashify )to flash but it did not work and when i try to boot to recovery it only have blue Screen on my TV.

2)Thing i try using SD way to up date it unable to up date.

Use Android tool 2.3 to flash it.

I was wondering can someone be kind to compile the lighthome launcher that comes with the original firmware to wok with wasser 2.0.5 firmware and also make the xbmc shortcut to work with latest kodi release with an icon change also?

I think that the original launcher is very good .

I do not have the knowledge to do it on my own so that for i kindly request it from you guys !

"Lucky patcher" is definitely illegal stuff, so I don't think so...
"librtmp" I'm not sure if it is 'illegal' or not, so because of that, I don't think so too...

I'm not so sure that lucky patcher is illegal at all. It is only a tool, and a very useful one at that. It can be used to check whether an apk has been previously modified, you can use it to modify the contents of an apk without having to decompile, it can be used for backups, to block intrusive advertisements, to block spyware like activity which is hidden from the user inside an apk, manual patching of code sections (again, without decompiling) and much more!

Just because a tool has the capability for misuse, I don't think that makes it illegal, and if you mean that it's illegal because of offering the ability to emulate in app purchasing that's not a very good argument either because this doesn't work on hardly any apps at all anymore.

Most developers are aware of this and have fixed it so that unsigned purchases are not accepted, or so that purchases cannot be signed when the app is tricked into thinking it's offline, or by eliminating in-app purchases for upgrades (such as pro version) and instead linking back to the pro version in the app store as a separate app. Another way developers are getting around the in app purchase emulation is by having the app check against their own servers to verify the purchase, and not just through Google.

Yeah it sucks that developers have had to do that, but really it's better and more secure for everyone.

I use lucky patcher constantly, primarily for ad removal, and wouldn't think twice about including it in any ROM I released. You might argue that people rely on those ad revenue and you should by the pro version to remove ads. I disagree. If the only difference between the regular and pro version is ads then there shouldn't be a pro version.

If it's about money, then show people how good your app is with a trial, limited version for free, with either a shorter trial period, or limited functionality. If people want it they will pay a reasonable amount for it.

Many websites rely on ad revenue as well, but I still use adblock plus, that's certainly not illegal and is in many ways a necessary protection for browsing the web today. I would say most malicious attacks begin in unchecked or untested ads on many many sites. I have not had a single severe virus infection in years and I think a lot of it is because of adblocking.

Another analogy is commercial advance since the introduction of things like TiVo, etc. Television networks rely on ad income, too and yet again, not illegal. Same with radio! Fm radio and AM rely on ads just like the rest of the world, but it can't be forced upon me. They cannot stop me from changing the channel when the ads start.

So why should I be forced to deal with ads in software? Let the same people who watch ads on tv and listen on radio be the same ones to look at it on their phone. Me? As much as possible I stay advertisement free.

Oh, last thing...I'm pretty sure librtmp is part of all XBMC releases for a long time now.

Even if that is true (and my opinion is that it isn't necessarily so) there are patcher, keygens, etc. All throughout the world of music, electronics, video games, encrypted video and others and I don't believe that possession of such software is technically illegal until you use it in a way that is illegal (could depend on local laws I suppose).

I would say that something like aptoide or p2p networks would be worse culprits because they are distributing fully licensed versions of paid apps. Yet, I would not give up my aptoide because it too, has legitimate uses. For instance on my ADT-1 it is by far the simplest way to install normal apps from the play store which are not in the Android tv app store. No side loading or downloading from shady apk websites required. They even check apps against play store versions to let you know if they are original or have been tampered with.

So I see no reason why not to include aptoide or lucky patcher in a ROM. Torrent clients and XBMC are extremely common inclusions to ROMs and they have the same, if not greater, capacity for piracy. I don't really see a whole lot of difference actually. It just depends on how you use it. Besides, honestly, we all know Android tv and XBMC are not mostly used for, or popular for, streaming free news services, free Christian FTA satellite channels, and YouTube clips

Just my own opinion of course. I'm not an attorney or anything. I'm just pointing out that there isn't really much difference from one to the other.

USB Issues

Hello All,

I am using Wasser's Latest Version firmware and External Self Powered USB 2 TB hard drive ...

It works Fine with USB Flash Drives Just NOT USB Hard Drives.

I have two Different issues:

1) If I plug the USB Drive In while the Player is on ... The USB Light on The Drive Flashes
and Never stops flashing. Then, If I try to Play a Movie with MX player the Movies Stops
and Starts ... This also happens even If I try to just play a Audio Book with any player.
I have Even Tried Using a USB Power Hub ... But it does NOT help ...

2) This happens Much Less for some reason If I have the USB Drive Plugged In on Boot of the unit.
But it still Happens about 5 minutes in just not as bad as it does When I plug the
USB Drive In after the player has Been running ...

Can Any one else recreate this issue ???
I have been reading this thread and I even Tried Disabling the Ethernet Port But the Issue
Is still there ...

Any insight would be great ...

This may be an unlikely cause, but the first thing I would do is install some sort of scanner (360 Security is nice and free) and check for malware. It sounds like something is scanning your drive.

Exactly what is happening, I don't know but all my external drives exhibit the same anomaly.
