Hi to all, Did a test with Antutu benchmark and Antutu 3D and on the first test I got 11945 and on the second got 11723 (3d No, UX 5626, CPU 6060, RAM 37.
On the third test it crashed and I could not do any more.
I flashed it with 2015-12-28_SPOT-i5_OTA-FULL to see if Antutu benchmark and Antutu 3D would work but it crashed in no time.
Could not get it to work at all.
So i tried vid-on again and it crashed also.
Back to MK05_150401 all working ok again.
The plot thickens.
Cheers

As far as I know, the flash memory eMMC never has been replaced.
We are doing some tests with the MK05_150630 firmware on Spot i5. If you wish to download this firmware let me know.

Hi Inphic!
I just want to report, I have the same symptoms when using the 2015-12-28 ROM as kevin1341 has, though not as intense -- Kodi sometimes works for few hours, sometimes it freezes just after moving through few menus. It seems, the problems are not related to playing video -- if I manage to start a stream from YouTube or from my Tvheadend box, it will work for hours and hours (but I will hang as soon as I start switching channels or setting up Kodi).
It seems to work much more stable (though not bulletproof) with case removed (when the PCB is directly exposed). Also, limiting the max CPU frequency to 700 MHz in Kernel Toolkit improves stability a lot -- it looks as an overheating issue.
If you have any experimental ROMs to try, count me as a volunteer

peaquino

We have a testing OTA package that you could test. This is the link > http://goo.gl/ESdCmV
Once your system is updated, at your first test attempt, do not change CPU's frequency is given by default.
Let me know about any result.Last edited by INPHIC - Jim; 13 January 2016, 05:55.

1. Download this app from this link http://www.inphic.com/download/apps/...grade-app-tool
2. Download our firmware from here http://www.inphic.com/download/upgra...are-2015-12-28
3. Copy both files to a USB storage, plug it to your Spot i5 USB port and browse for the files,
4. Click on OTAUpgrade.apk to install it on your device, go to Apps menu, and click on UPGRADE&BACKUP icon to start the process.
If you don't know how to use the App downloaded from the 1st step, there's a HOW TO in our website you can follow.
Here it is the link to HOW-TO tutorial http://inphic.com/faq/howto/update/spot-i5Last edited by INPHIC - Jim; 14 January 2016, 11:48.

Hi all This a link to my report on the Spot i7
My Spot i5 has died and I am finding it hard to bring it back to life.
This is I think due to the problem i have had with it from the start.
I think it's a problem with the flash memory eMMC.
The thing is I have learn't so much from being able to play with this little device.

Serenella did you find that the spot i5 worked better with MK05_150401 firmware as I found or did you have different problems.
If you have problems getting it back to original firmware I will take some photo's of the board to show you what pins you have to short out to re flash by using USB_Burning_Tool.
When I get my little board breathing again I will join in tasting again.
Cheers

About Serenella's problem, we could back from MK05_150401 firmware to Inphic's firmware. Just follow the post #162 and you will not need to open your device to shortcut the memory.
If you can make your i5 work again, it should be good if you can test the update on the post #159, it looks like working well for manu-de. It would be a good help to fix that problem some are having with freezing.
