The kernel was compiled from source, i decompiled tronsmart 205l to figure out the device tree or .dts file.

The rom is mostly zidoo code i've modded it to add widevine and some other features.

I have installed the v8 Series 2 over v7, but I can no longer boot into recovery(TWRP) with QuickBoot?? Am I doing something wrong??

BTW - Thanks for your efforts!! Great job!

I should state that my device is a Beelink i68G with 2GB RAM and 8GB drive. Could this be the reason why? I have read that the Tronsmart R68 and Beelink i68G are identical.

The kernel Ionix I believe this worked better and has several features that wasser not.
          Ionix kernel

          1.Hdmi
          2.DRM
          3.Stuttering removed

          wasser Firmware

          1. Wifi much better than the firmware Ionix and to have the entire screen without using a program to increase the screen. Ionix firmware with my box was much hotter than using firmware wasser
          ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I decided I had to experiment and turn these two into a custom firmware.

          Tools
          1. Android Tool, allowed me to unpack the firmware
          2. wasser-3.1.3-beelink-i68-1000m-rk3368_box and Ionix Zidoo_r68_gigabit_v7
          3. TWRP-RK3368_flash_as_recovery_partition (I got it on the website of GeekBox with the instructions to mount from the terminal emulator on android).
          4. To assemble needed, Ugoo Original firmware (UT4_0.0.3.b) android tool, tool had was the memory partitions ready

          Procedure:

          1. Unpack firmwares
          2. Use the UT4_0.0.3.b android tool, select (resource, boot, recovery Ionix firmware and only use the system Wasser)
          3. I thought it was all over, the screen at the beginning gave me a distorted image, and then came the bootanimation Wasser.
          4. Previously had lowered the emulator console in the play store. Mount the TWRP-RK3368_flash_as_recovery_partition, followed the instructions for mounting (GeekBox). This eliminated distorted screen.
          5. I have no experience working with buildpro the firmware Waser is somewhat dull, I found reading to adjust, the (ro.sf.lcd_density = 240), the value in the firmware of wasser was 213.
          6. dalvik.vm.heapsize = 512m in the 1024m buildpro fit what this allows me to run lighter applications.
          7) kodi flash zip Ionix

I do not stutter, much faster, the temp of the box is lower.as you can not be running kodi with other characteristics of sound, just use the TV audio. My TV is 3D, with 3D works fine in kodi
          Iam used Google Traductor
hi axionflow is there a chance that you share your resulting rom for testing? TIA

            Hi lonix

i have tested so far all your roms and I seem to have a problem with the latest roms that was not present on V3. The problem is with Kodi (audio passthough) and high bitrate movies. The problem is that these movies have is that the audio is lost for 1-2 seconds and then gets back. This can happen every 1 minute which makes the movie unwatchable. Do you believe this is related to audio buffer? Do i need to change something in advanced settings ?

            Regards

Was this present in v7 ROM? I just want to eliminate the new version of kodi as a variable.

I guess this is what happens when you try to fix something that isnt broken
                standby for a fix.

I have put together a package to install TWRP recovery, this should work on any rk3368 device.
This is also a fix for v8-2.

                  download here

                  Instructions inside the file.

                    Hi lonix,

as mentioned in a post before, I get 8 linux penguins shown after installing V7on my Z4 device, so I am not able to try your V8 version. Have you planned to create a 'full V8 image' which can be installed from scratch, with no need for installing V7 first?

                    Thanks

The fix for the Beelink i68G missing TWRP on v8 works a treat!!

Thanks so much for your efforts!

v4 didn't work for me. I'm only seeing the Penguins (logical cores). I also tried v6 and same issue.

How can I help diagnose. I don't have any experience hacking on these boxes. I wouldn't mind learning though. If I had adb access I could figure out how to add more verbose logging to the kernel.

Let me know anyway I can help please.
