    Hi Ionix

I have updated to V4, but I came up with an issue. FYI I have used the TWRP update method. So:
    1. Audio was not working anywhere, so I lashed the stock kernel.
    2. Audio came back, however the audio was routed to my mele f10 remote (other ROMs i tested before were doing this and I kept your ROM because It was on of yhe few ROMS that was routing audio properly to the HDMI). To overcome this I installed soundabout, but this is not my preferred way to route audio correctly. However audio is working now.
    3. Kodi was automatically updated to version 16b4(or 5). I had to uninstall and then install Kodi found in V1 following your guide. Audio is working in Kodi now.
    4. The activation pop up comes up again, a reboot usually fixes this problem but a subsequent reboot will enable the pop up again. However i did not try your activation fix zip (through recovery).

I apologise, any bugs in the zidoo rom will also be present in this rom.
All of the work in the ROM is the work of zidoo except for the kernel, and some modifications I have made.

In my opinion V3 was a better rom, but i updated for the sake of having the latest version from zidoo.

        Hi Ionix

Thanx for the reply. So is there any way to go back to V3 with a flashable update? Or is it preferable to use Factory Tool?

Technically its possible, best way is to use TWRP to backup your /data partition, then flash using factory tool, then restore your /data partition unless you want to reinstall all your apps, setting etc.

Also make your backup to USB stick as /data gets formatted on first boot

Please try to flash this "tame" kernel, or the stock kernel found on the main post

            Download Here

you can enter recovery by pressing the power button and then immediately using a toothpick in the small hole and holding it for a few seconds

            or

from v3 install the v4.zip then immediately install the TronZid-TameKernel.zip without rebooting
installed v4 over v3 than flashed tame kernel and lock-up and reboots still there...going to flash stock kernel.....will up date

                    Hi Ionix

You publish "tronzid00_kernelOnly" I use this tool as you recommended. I discovered that changing the file of TWRP.img to "Recovery" and putting it in the folder of image in (rockdev) could be installed without any problem TWRP.img.

The problems, which came with the rom (v4), were resolved.

What I did was give a flash, and solved the problem, and does not freeze.

Use the "tame kernel" without problems so far. And whenever you change your rom, dalvin and cache clean.

The Activation Fix, seems to work.

The wifi is lousy far works very well near the router. Ethernet well.

To be resolved, stuttering, it seems that this happens with all roms and goes beyond changing the kernel.

In tronsmart page, a reader named Ziv gave as advice an application designed to remove stuttering in another tv box of tronsmart. still not used it, but apparently solved the problem.

                    Thank

Yes, i have noticed that if you keep moving the mouse pointer after starting a YouTube video, the stutter is less, if you use the youtubetv app you can goto settings and enable geek statistics, you can see the skipped frames corresponding to the stutter.

Also i have found that by using kernel auditor, if you set the LITTLE cores max frequency to 816mhz, it will allow the big cores to reach maximum frequency.

Thanks for the good work, Ionix! I'm a little confused by all the postings and statements from different users so I would like to ask what the recommended firmware and kernel is at the moment?

I guess it depends, on your setup with home theater etc, try v3 first and if everything is working and you are happy stay on that.

sometimes the over clocked kernel is a little too much for some chips, perhaps rockchip set their clocks lower to keep yield up.

I find that youtube stutter is worse in v4, and I find it to be worse after google play services updates itself.

                                guys,

Please test this kernel flash with TWRP

Although it doesn't fix youtube stuttering "per se" it does make it much more watchable in my testing instead of getting an audio glitch which is annoying, you will just get a slight pause.

it does have some bugs however which will need to be ironed out, mostly to do with powering down the device if you click power off, the LED will remain blue and you will have to unplug and replug the power cord to reboot.

there may also be other bugs. please let me know your experiences.
