I have write FullRom 9.4 but the "illegal activation" error ( the same of mastro7712) hasn't gone away.
Also notice that with 9.4 there isn't TWRP as recovery.

You can try the full ROM, no guarantees it will work properly on nexbox

Unfortunately, it doesn´t suit Nexbox as it freezes, especially while I'm configuring Kodi.
Anyway, I managed to try VLC with my list of channels and it seems that it's unable to see the cast from my provider. So now I'm not sure it is a multicast traffic problem. I revert to cyber7's Nexlight, as at least it has storage and othe things optimized, compared to stock rom.
It's a pity, since I've known about other people with the same problem (but another brand tvbox) that have reported success when installed your Modded ROM.

2nd question : Is it possible to suspend the box with a click on the power button of my telecommand (as the original firmware)?


For the problem : when I play a movie with ZDMC, the image is stretched upwards... The picture is distorded. But this problem is not on all movies. Do you know why?

I try Rar 9.4 / + 9.4 Kernel and the first test is not bad but I can not read E-AC3 5.1 pass through and I do not know why.
but I is not trying that 3 series ( 1/ 720p.HDTV.x264 AC3, 2/ 720p.HDTV.x264 AC3, 3/ 720p.WEBRip.x264 E-AC3 )

To suspend press and hold the power button on the remote for a few seconds then select suspend immediately.

The rebooting sometimes instead of powering down is a bug, not really sure how fix, try powering off using quick boot.

The ZDmc issue it's a known bug from zidoo, try downgrading the zdmc to previous release.

It works fine with the newer librkffplayer.so.

I had tried it with your Zidoo rom, but I did a mistake while flashing and bricked (burnt?) my unit. The seller sent me another box, which is the one I'm experimenting with. In fact I've only tried Cyber7's NexlightV3 and Lonix's Modded Rom for T. R68 (the latter because it's said to have " Added CONFIG_IP_MULTICAST (Kernel, FullROM)" in V9.2)
Afterwards I've been looking for a way to modify the original kernel by adding this feature on my own, but although I've found something, I guess it's a bit too much for my skill...
My trouble is that noone seems to have the same issue, other people who's hired the sameTV's provider as me use another box (for instance, someone's been successful with a Beelink and Lonix's rom). But what really amazes me is that nobody else has reported this problem, as if everybody deals only with unicast and not multicast traffic. On the other hand there's a bypass, installing a udp proxy somewhere in my lan, but it's an annoying solution (must keep pc turned on, ...)
Anyway I'll try again those roms you suggest. Nothing to lose and much to gain... I'll tell you.

Change the librkffplayer.so (rename it before copy), and install the kodi from inside the package. Than you will have a komplete ZDMC_1-0-36 version. Don't forget to set the access rights after the file copy!

Z68 boxes definitely need the additional heat sink installed onto the SoC. Without that you'll never be able to have a well working device! Anyway, my experience was that overheating makes a self-reset of the box, and in general, this don't brick the CPU yet. If you install the heat sink, however, you probably loose the warranty, except if you can do it in a reversible way. Unfortunately, the box itself is too small to build a large heat sink inside, so most of us drilled some holes at the bottom of the box to enhance the air circulation inside. But anyway, this makes the warranty completely lost. So all up to you.

My recommendation is to make the software tests with the cover removed, and a heat sink attached on the SoC in a removable way. When you find a software acceptable, and the heat sink temperature does not overrides the approx. 50-60 degree Celsius, you may finalize the construction and close the box.

The main problem with the latest ZDMC (v38) is the software decoding instead of using the hardware module that is integrated into the Rockchip SoC. This is the same as when you buy a $300 video card into your computer, and use a video player from the previous century.
Otherwise, I'm happy that you successfully changed back to v36! Enjoy it, and have fun!

this is happening to me too for the powering off the device, Im still using the old version 8.3 if im not mistaken. what i found out is when im connected via wired or wireless lan the device power off is just rebooting the device. so if i want to turn off completely the device i will disable first the ethernet / wifi connection then power it off and always it works for me.

E- AC3 does not work on pass through and the H265 has not decoded( just sound).
