Do you know if I might be able to find a rom for it somewhere on the forums? Sorry for being a noob. -__-

to install Xposed you need to have TWRP recovery installed on your device(if you have this ROM already on your Qbox, then you are half way there)
1)you need to go to XDA,download and install the installer first(its a normal apk,the same way you install any other apks) here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=3034811
2)while on the XDA page, you must follow the link for the framework zip file and download it (you need the zip file for lollipop SDK 22) here is the link for the framework zip file http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/
            3) this is the important bit!!!! install the installer apk first, then reboot into TWRP recovery (reboot apks available from play store)
4)once in TWRP recovery, you must select back up to back up your ROM(just in case anything goes wrong in the install of the framework zip file or (or if ) anything goes wrong when using you tv box.
5)after preforming the back up,return to the main screen of TWRP recovery and select install for the install of the sdk22 xposed framework zip file.let it install DON`T STOP the INSTALL.(no need to wipe anything)
6)once installed, return to the main screen of the TWRP recovery, select reboot then select system, the Qbox should restart,it may say android is updating or restarting you will see a number of apks updating, then hopefully you should see your home screen.
at the moment,i am only using YouTube adaway and background play,i also installed gravity box but its not for tv boxes(read what the developer says on the gravity box thread on XDA) as some of the gravity box settings may not work with the Qbox,(every time i use it it kicks me back to the apps screen(im using nova launcher) READ WHAT IT SAYS ON XDA,
            7)good luck!!

hey guys, I picked up what seems to be a rebranded q box, but I'm not 100% sure if it's actually a rebrand or if it's a clone. I got a decent deal on it so I figured why not.

The motherboard looks almost identical to other pictures I've seen, aside from the RAM seemingly being a different brand but that could be because it seems the motherboard is a new revision (old pictures I saw said V1.2 on the bottom on the back, this one says 1.3 and has a newer date.

Box was identical except the Q is replaced with kitbox k7 in pretty much all cases, startup is the same except Q replaced with kitbox. but the device info still says Q box, the model is the same (p200_2G), seems to have the latest Q box firmware I can find (LMY47V.20160610). Interface is Identical to all other Q box videos/pictures I can find online and included apps seem to be the same.

I'm having issues with the swin8launcher crashing and a few other annoyances, so I'm basically wondering if there's any way to know if this rom is compatible with my device? The hardware seems to be the same, but I don't really want to brick my new box and I'm new to this whole android tv box thing, have flashed custom roms and the like on phones before but this is my first box. This stuff is Kind of confusing to a newcomer.

I attached an imgur album of just some pictures of the box and motherboard for comparison, any help is appreciated.

                    Hi pencilbagger

Why dont you try to flash this Rom from Superceleron.I have a QBox Board p200/2g.The Rom works nice and fast. But Backup before you begin. If you need more Infos always ask.
This Box is only good for Media Things not for Gaming / Mali 450*5 / why not 764 or 820,Companys like them only want save Cents in Production.

                    Have a nice Day

I ]get the error message 'extractTarFork() process ended with ERROR: 255' during the restore of the system partitition. After this I can't reboot the system and have to reboot into recovery and choose a backup of the original rom and then reboot into the system.
                      @abdul_pt

Same Error here did this ever get resolved??
I never received a response to my post that replied to Abdul's question asking whether I had modded the rom. I hadn't.

Update: Received my usb cable and flashed the "kitbox k7" today, Seems to be working fine but I haven't done a whole lot of testing yet. At first I thought the box was bricked because I was getting no signal, but booting into twrp recovery seems to have fixed that .

Edit: After messing around a bit, everything seems to be working just fine, rom is overall pretty good and no more annoying launcher crashes. the sixaxis controller app still makes the regular settings menu crash like it did on the stock rom, but the "more settings" menu works fine so it's not a huge deal. Wireless xbox adapter isn't working (wasn't on stock either) but that could just be my knockoff adapter, still have some messing around to do with it to see if I can get it working.

From what I can find doing ls /sys/module the xpad module seems to be not be loaded, unless that command wouldn't show it. I'm not sure how to go about compiling it for this device (or if i need the source to do it) to run it at startup, but I think that is what is missing.

I could be wrong though, I'm not super familiar with Linux or android jist learning as I go along, it might just be my Chinese adapter not working.

edit: it's working with the xpad module included with ubuntu so I'm thinking it should work with the android one if present.

                              Hi Guys

On my Qbox PS3 Controller works with CompatibilityChecker & Sixaxis self.Rom Superceleron.I only needed a female A to A USB Cable between ( USB next to HDMI) port and the Controller to pair them.

                              Hope it helps

yeah it works fine with the sixaxis app it just makes the settings menu crash on both stock and superceleron for me if the driver is loaded, not a big deal because more settings works. Just trying to get my wireless Xbox controller working because the left stick on my ds3 is broken .
