Normally just expand the rom zip to the root of a formatted SD card and power off the box - hold in the reset button while powering on and it should upgrade ?

OK Now seem to have bricked the qbox

Led comes on but nothing else, bought a better usb cable tried bootable sd card. cannot get into recovery. Is it dead or can I recover it??

Just got another one of these for the kids bedroom, flashed the superceleron rom and the wifi won't turn on. Looks like this is a new WiFi Chip, im attaching pics of the PCB. Still 905 on lolipop, not s905x which was my original fear.

Trebor, would you recognise the wifi chip on this new one at all? I'm wodnering if it would be possible to take the WIFI drivers for this chip - if it's common enough, out of some firmware and put it into celeron via the amlogic customisation tool?

6330 was on original, that one is BCM4335.

Thanks superceleron. Is there any way your firmware can be modified to include this driver? The first thing I did was install your ropm because it works great on my other Q Box and now that we've realised the wifi chip is different, and i dont have original firmware - nor can I find it anywhere- it's kinda a brick ;/

Im not great with this stuff but I have changed remote config files via amlogic customisation tool before, would it be something similar to get those wifi drivers in the firmware? Any guidance you could give would be greatly appreciated and hopefully can help others if they come to this thread with the same issue.

When I said brick I mean it's a little useless because I can't get it online - I didn't mean "brick" sorry for confusion.

Everything works, remote works, but wifi wont switch on ;/

Mine is bricked, box doesn't boot or show anything at all. still says connect success on the burning tool. Can anyone suggest anything?? Don't fancy spending another 50 quid if I don't have to.

Ask where you buy for the rom or ask Sunvell for the rom?

Thanks for the quick response. It's crazy - the firmware they supplier sent me, wifi doesnt work on either. They claim it;s newest. Dated 26 Oct but definitely wifi does not work.

I'll try Sunvell directly.
