Actually, as nice as you are being, you DID write this rom oriiginaly for the Beelink Mini M8S II. You should just concentrate on that. All these people who keep posting problems are people who keep buying other boxes and trying your rom on it. It's not exactly your problem that they are cross flashing your rom on an unsupported box. You've seriously done more than enough at this point. If people want to use your firmware on unsupported boxes, it's time for them to do so at their own risk.

And these people who keep trying it on the A95X, these boxes are a freaking nightmare as they keep changing the hardware revisions of them. If people want support for those I would suggest they go to ahem, tvboxforums, if I am allowed to say that, as they have a massive, and I mean massive forum there dedicated to those boxes.

You've done your hard work man. I really hope all these people who keep pestering you have been buying you coffee!

So, simply asking if there is a solution to a problem is now "pestering"? I now feel personally insulted. Because I only asked if it was possible to make something work, and never demanded something, or blamed the author for anything. And I already said everything you said about rom not being made for that one specific device of A95X. However, you're forgetting, or neglecting, that the OP does say the rom may work for other devices, which was the reason I decided to give it a try. Perhaps, if you do not want to help, instead of insulting people you could just stay away and refrain from being an &#%hole.

yes could be interesting to know wich bt chip has your device, and the last thing you can try is rename in /system/vendor/lib the module libbt-vendor.so just rename for eg. tuzlak.so
Then reboot and test bt if nothing changes, i need to look into your original fw.

Your mini is not dead you have just to flash it with a usb male to male and a pc.
I do not replied to your question because i do not use sd flashing and i prefer that users talk each other.

No problem, I was not implying anything. I was just inquiring to see if anyone had suggestions or reasons as to why this happened. It seems like I am not the only one this is happening to and it seems to be related to the SD card method.

I also do not know why my desktop and laptop is not recognizing the device.

I have read that you need to plug the device in before USB burning tool so the computer recognizes the device and installs the drivers prior to being bricked. Unfortunately I never did this before so maybe this is why my computer is recognizing the box.

Hrmm from reading your post it looks interesting. Do you have any error messages pop up when you burn your rom? Or does it say 100% complete? I've personally had an issue with 1 M8S II out of maybe a dozen or so that I have flashed, where it flashed fine, but does nothing. Not a single thing. Just sits at the boot screen and doesn't load. It will burn perfectly fine from the burn tool, gives no errors. I've basically brought it down to it's a bad unit. It might be it in your case.

USB tool should always recognize the device. Toothpick method might be needed ie use toothpick and then plug into your computer, but I've never run into that with this box, ever. I am quite sure you have tried that. if the hole is too small, just take the case apart and do it that way, much easier

I do apologize if you are seeing it that way, but in the past we have had users spam his inbox account and this forum with the same demand over and over. It got to the point mods had to step in. At no point did I insult anyone in my post. If you took it that way I do apologize, but the A95X does have a fantastic support group at tvboxforums where they do have more knowledgable people as this is one of the only boxes they deal with. It is also a horrible box in my experience, and one I would recommend boomeranging if you can haha.

I originally installed the ROM using the boot card maker and SD card. I followed the instructions, checked to make sure the required files were there, ad updated. It seemed like the update went fine until it was stuck on the initial boot for over 30 mins, hard reset did not fix it.

When I tried to reboot to recovery via toothpick with no SD card so I can restore my TWRP back up is when I realized I was stuck in the TWRP splash screen.

I never used the burn tool before. Even with my older tv boxes I always used toothpick or TWRP recovery to update or change ROMs.
But as of right now my Windows 7 desktop and Windows 10 desktop won't even recognize the device when plugged in. I believe I have soft bricked it since I still get the splash screen from v2.3

I just need to figure out how to get my desktop or laptop to recognize the device and I should be OK. I have tried 3 different cables, different USB ports, etc..

When I get a chance I will try and hook up my functioning MXQ S85 to my laptop and see if the USB tool recognizes it. If not I know it has something to do with my end that I need to resolve.

I guess it was time I learned how to use the USB burning tool anyways. Haha. Just wish it was on different terms..... But as they say, you learn the most when you try to fix your mistakes.

It seems like I am not the only one this is happening to and it seems to be related to the SD card method.

Actually it happened to me too. And I pig of a time getting Burning tool to recognize my box too, mine had no sign off life whatsoever, anyway I got there in the end.
A couple of things I noticed, that may help.

1) If your making your own male USB cable and your buying from a cheapy shop to chop up, then be wary some don't follow uniform colours and sometimes data wires are reversed (usually blue & green) it's also been known that the white wire in some cheap cables can be the +5v when it should really be the ground.

2) Obviously read the guide first. I also disable my antivirus and ran burntool as administrator on my Windows 10 laptop.

3) once installed burn tool and your ready to flash,
Open up burn tool,make sure no SD cards or other USB devices are connected to your box disconect the power cord, plug your USB cable into computer first.

4) plug the other end into port at the back by the power lead on the (mini m8sii) it will power through the USB cable. Keep you eye on your PC to see if it's connected.

My main problem..
mine only gets recognized if I remove power supply I have to only power through USB. Once it's recognized I can put external power supply back in.
It may say this in the guide but I never noticed it !

5) you may need to use a tooth pick method to get you Into recovery, if bricked it should hopefully automatically get recognized.

Checked... the only differences i found regarding Bt are in the file i posted to you earlier, kernel has support for your rtk bluetooth, no clue where the problem sits.
