    Hi dkholm56 ,

try it with AndroidTool 2 .35 or 2.30 , start as Admin , go to second Tab , load Firmware ,

connect , erase the flash , wait , press ok , press Upgrade , wait till finish , wait 5 Minutes ,

disconnect from PC to TV and have Fun .

Alternative you can try it with Batchtool 1.8 , but for all use latest Driver 4.4 .

hope you can get it flashed ,

    good luck ,

      gefattern,
thanks for the reply. I did use AndroidTool 2.35. erased flash then pressed upgrade. It flashed successfully, but It won't boot. Shows the black screen with
      Formatting /Data

Never boots beyond that screen and then just sits at the Formatting /Data. Left it for hours to see if it would boot with no luck

Hi Shamori I pretty like your idea and project of a True Octore Kernel. Because for a android TV Box used only at home, the BIG.little architecture makes no real sense.
I also played already with your ROM. The Kernel of you latest version looks pretty pretty fast & stable. But it will not 100% support the hardware of my Z4. And the ROM itself, lets say. works. But it is not future orientated. Anyhow. I played also already with your kernle. I tried to add it to my own ROM. But so far not much luck. But I was manly working on my latest release V2.0 FSE that is now public. (see link below)

During all tht time creating my latest version, and testing also your Kernel/ROM I had an idea. I wished to use to my (our?) next release a boot screen like this one.

Are you interested to have a ROM joint venture for the Z4?
Because I think with a more future oriented ROM, like mine. We both will get much more users & testers.
So a win win situation for all of us (developers & users)
              What do you think?

                    gefattern,
thanks again for the reply. Yes I can flash the stock rom with no problem and it boots. I can reach recovery when using stock rom, but not when flashing this rom. I used the one that Shomari gave me a link to so I'm sure it's the right one. Yes I did try MaskromMode. I have the M8 Pro rk3368 2g/8g 64 box. To be honest it isn't just this firmware, I have the same problem with every firmware I try other than the stock. The stock firmware is pretty bad. Google Play Store force closes all the time and wifi is terrible. I have no idea what the manufacturer has done with this firmware that makes it so hard to boot any firmware except stock.
                    thanks again for the help.

                      Hi dkholm56 ,

Is it the Andoer Version , your Device has only 8Gb , maybe this is the Problem , other Spacesize , other Adresscode ???

this is for 16GB Boxes . Have you tried the Z4 Rom cOOllio linked above ???

have you already uploaded a Picture of the PCB here ???

have you tried to flash the kernel and recourse of your Stock over the Shomari Rom ???

Look here maybe another Stockversion :

Thanks to everyone who gave help and suggestions for flashing this box. I give up trying to get another firmware on here other than stock. Without knowing what is stopping it from booting after flashing firmware other than stock, I'm just spinning my wheels. No matter what firmware I try it just won't boot. Even after flashing the firmware is successful. I'm not familiar enough with digging into the firmware to see where the problem is. I really do appreciate the help and suggestions everyone gave me!
                          thanks again to all.

I have some updates to upload here; they've been ready for a while I just haven't posted anything. Newer kernel, better video support, improved browser, etc. Fixed Skype/webcam issue (unreported but found during testing) and some other miscellaneous improvements. Also - pretty serious vpu bug fix that curiously nobody reported but I also found during my own use.

I don't quite like the latest update I posted (Z4 specific one) with the reboot/power menu fix, it doesn't have the same performance as the others but people wanted to be able to reboot from live system badly for some reason. Going to have to refactor that, because I won't be updating that branch at all in its current state.

                            I'll be in touch..

EDIT: there's a good amount of ported MM code in my firmwares, so it gets tricky if you start to pull the images apart and mix firmwares with parts of other builds. I hear from people all the time that try to piece together different firmwares with mine, only to realize performance drops dramatically or other issues come up that don't exist in the full firmware when they mix and match.

As far as testers go, we take what we can get. If you look around the forums, it's an issue that's common, there's very little testers and very little feedback. You'll get a fraction of the users ever providing any feedback of any kind, yet some wonder why there's little incentive to add tons of feature bloat with such tiny feedback, which is essential when most of the features requested don't apply to one's particular use case. So it goes...

That's one of the later RK3368 boxes, right?

I'll make a version for your device and upload it in the next few days. I don't know where the buttons are on that box but the flash process is the same as every other RK device.
