    One more thing:

Anyone looking for tame 'feature-packed' builds that (have all kinds of actual major bugs) run at 300mhz and score 32K in antutu and can't play 4K video let alone 4K60fps, etc, due to dramatically low and poor performance, these builds are not for you.

I've said it before and I'll say it again for the newcomers and those that neglect to read - this started as a personal project to get the most out of of the RK3368 performance wise, while maintaining stability in the process.

Thus we've gotten 25% increase in memory performance, double the graphics performance, and of course significant gains in cpu (there still are no other 'true octacore' builds and I've posted exactly how it's done) and i/o - now we'll begin porting devices one by one for 100% hardware compatibility as time and resources allow.

I do this by myself with no endorsement or commercial backing of any kind. The project can end at any time, or have significant breakthroughs unexpectedly, just the same.

There's plenty of tame, perfectly viable firmware options out there. These builds are for those of us that like pushing the envelope.

Plenty space for everyone, know your lane and join the ride.

Also: more features are likely to come. The cpu hack alone is a major modification that involves significant amounts of debugging to pull off. It would've been everywhere if it were easily plotted before this. It's important to get the major stuff down before bogging the progression down with all kinds of niche/extra features.

Once everything is streamlined, things will grow in different ways.

I have big plans, I don't promise anything. Things either get done, or they don't get mentioned. Simply stay tuned and help where you can.

It's troubling when such a small percentage of the community even pitches in to test things. It's everywhere on the forums, that problem is not just in this thread or mine.

We've been pretty luck here with these builds to have people so graciously test and report their feedback.

I salute you. This would've stopped (public releases) long ago if it weren't for you testers. The private work would continue, of course, because I can test the things I use myself. But we'd be nowhere without everyone else.

Ok, you're doing a great job but I wrote what I noticed. I started Kodi 16.1 build One Aliance everything works beautifully fast and suddenly Off, the Box turns off. I touch hands and terribly warm. On the other hand, I did not do that on this firmware, https://androidtvbox.eu/new-firmware...60927-release/

Next week I'll get my new s912 tv box, so I could use my old z4 to test. I want to test your rom and coolio's one with android tv. Thanks for your work.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll see if anyone reports the same. I've never seen any overheating myself.

It's cool that you do this, I have Octa Core for 2 years and just now I found this forum ..

Hi Shomari, yesterday after running some games and testing some video files the box got hot. Than it started rebooting itself. I let it cool and have been using it all day now, playing games watching movies on SPMC no problem and its not getting hot any more.

The 'true octacore' versions with the power menu bug (unable to reboot/power off) run at full speed and have no stability issues and are very power efficient despite the cpu hack.

This build with the power menu fix is going to need adjusting so that users can run it with stock power supplies. It's possible it may never be as efficient. I don't know yet, it'll take time and testing to adjust it.
It's fast, it works, but after some time it starts automatically restoring.

It's your power supply, I'm almost 100%. And it's very unlikely to be heat, just insufficient power.

                          Hi Shomari,

Some feedback on 8 bit HEVC h265 movies, they have a green disorted line every x seconds, 10bith h265 HEVC doesnt play video just audio .

RK3368 doesn't support 10bit HEVC, as far as I know, I'm pretty sure it doesn't. I've been testing things with 10bit, as I posted earlier, but that's separate and apart from anything I've released.

I'll upload a resource for you to test HEVC later, because I don't have any issues with HEVC on my end, but then again it's one of those things I don't use so I can easily miss it.

Actually, I'm going to upload the resource anyway, but, I'm going to incorporate any changes into your specific port.

... oh! I didn't even know it was running on the geekbox. Next update is going to address the video banding some have reported, and possibly adjust the voltages for this latest release.
