When i boot the box holding the button with pin tip, it gets stuck to nexus logo, no recovery mode.

        that sounds like bootloader mode

Boot the box up normally and press settings button on the remote then go to apps and open the terminal app and type

        su

        Press enter, then

        reboot recovery

Press enter. And will boot twrp

Or install "Reboot" app from PlayStore, you'll have choice to reboot into recovery

Think he's having trouble flashing the WiFi update for other chipset so he won't be to get past the setup wizard because of no WiFi connection

Unless he can use Ethernet connection, then downloading the app would be the simpler process

Its quite a bit more than just an apk unfortunately. plus they are all built to target a higher SDK, this can be modded to install but will run into other problems.

I had a quick look and see it relies on at least 3 other apk possible more.. i don't think it will ever work on marshmallow maybe with a bit of hacking on 7.0

Here is the beta image for nexus player for anyone interested in trying to hack the apk up to work..
                  I'm giving it a miss

Or if anyone has a nexus player and just wants to try it out I guess

Thanks, now i can enter TWRP, problem is remote doesn't seem to work in there, and the place is "Keep System Read only?" "Swipe to Allow Modifications".

I'm not familiar with all this stuff.
May i try something with adb ? (flashed smartphones couple of time so i can send commands safely).

Also, i can plug ethernet if it can help.

Just need to plug a mouse into the USB port on the box

Then (left click and hold) swipe to allow modifications.

                      Select install zip

Go to the location of the WiFi update.zip, select it and again it will ask to swipe to install, do this and Then reboot.

I'm not sure about adb as it needs to replace the boot.img

let me know when you downloaded them so i can remove from my google drive, feel free to reupload them.
Tillaz, I tried downloading as soon as I got home but G-drive says link /file doesn't exist.

Are they posted somewhere public I can download them? - So this way you don't have to store them, in order for me to download?

Minor update today mainly to address the lack of D-pad navigation support in Gboard. Please let me know if you spot any issues.

                              Changelog (20170606):
                              • Enabled multi-user support.
                              • Added kernel module for many USB Bluetooth dongles (btusb.ko).
                              • Reverted to AOSP keyboard, since Gboard just doesn't have the necessary D-pad navigation support. Leanback keyboard is still also available.
                              • Switched from spoofing the Xiaomi Mi Box to the Nexus Player.
                              • Removed several libraries that are no longer required.
                              • Updated for latest Open GApps build (20170606).
