USB BT will erase everything on your box, no matter what version it is...

I just installed SCV7A on my H96 Pro+ and want to root the system. But after I installed magisk 16.0, Google Play and Youtube stopped workinig and the system become unstable and TV screen freez. Romote control does not work. After tried restarting the system couple times, I have to re-install SCV4 and SCV7 to back normal. Is there any other APP besides Magisk that I can try to get a rooted system without crashing the system? Thank you.

Unfortunately this Rom (and the other one as well) doesn't support Wisdom board.

Try with older version of MAGISK.

Try one of them @megamendez roms for q201 devices you may need to flash wifi q9377 driver afterwords becouse of wifi compatibility but I am not sure if it is not already built in but if you got no wifi now you know how to solve it also for you to make this ROM work on your box you need to run the wisdom kernel on it that may solve the issue try one of these solutions. Do you know how to to this?

what i'm curious at, is how to overclock the kernel (cpu/gpu) and how to lower the cpu usage on android running. Is there a program to overclock the kernel?

Obviously you have succeeded to install SCV7A! Congratulations!

Hey, the s912 chip was intended to run at 2ghz but to some heating problem it was clocked down to 1.5ghz I had one of this prototype boards, it was the Acemax M12N , and I think there is an MXQ Pro with the same chipset. with the original kernel for that box. Now the issue here is the WiFi chip it's designed for the 6522 or something so if wanna have a look, extract the kernel from the M12N rom flash it see if it boots on Scv7A rom, if it boot probably ends up with no WiFi (I'm not sure on Bluetooth coz it's in the same chip), you can find the rom I am talking about here

Superceleron made a rom for that device too I belebel it is called superceleron M12N v1.zip or IMG not sure look for it in the s912 category here in freaktab, it's there too.

Let me know how it turned out, I was thinking on doing that but still didn't had time to look in to it

No mate don't flash the IMG I am sharing, extract the kernel from it and use it into the rom, that kernel is from a s912 clocked at 2ghz for you to overclock the CPU you need to compile a new kernel there is an already overclock we and compiled one with stcok values from amlogiA so it's safe ithat means it will not try yor CPU the rom itself is marshmallow and I believe the bootloader may not be compatible with q9377 devices on the kernel I don't know didn't got time to try it myself yet I will just don't know when eventually by the way is your board q201 or q9377????

Tried flashing the img you linked, it gives me a key error when loading the file ini usb flasher. The superceleron m12n/mxq plus rom does work. That's a zip file for android update, so it works with the standard recovery/update software.

Ok, so it's an overclocked kernel. Can i also extract the boot.img and flash that to the box on android 6.0.11?

If you are on the 6.1 marshmallow yes that is the way now I need to know if your device is a q201 for compabilaty issues, when flashing you are getting an error becouse you need the key for the flashtool now if you are willing to try I got a way better ROM for the q201 in marshmallow 6.1 this one here

This one is way better but is for q201 with that wifi chipset I mentioned

Here is the Mac key for you to flash in the flashtool

Now if you just want the kernel you need to open the customization tool and extract the kernel

                          Here's the customization tool

The img is flashing without key. The rom runs, but i had one hard reboot. Extracted the boot.img, replaced the kernel in rom. The kernel has a different size. In running android it still shows me maximum frequency 1.5ghz. It runs a bit better, maybe all 8 cores now run at maximum of 1,5ghz.

Misread your post, so i have to update the 7 ota file with the kerel. Some [] error and box bricked.
What if i take the s912 kernel from the 7 ota? Took the ota 7a kernel and flashed it with android 6.0.1 from km8 p q201. Bootlogo is as far as it gets.

It won't work it's a different built, you can use a marshmallow kernel on nougat but it wont boot if you do the other way ronund, there is a s912 q201 7.1.1 rom with the same kernel, but updated for nougat, have a look in chanagadget review website, can't help any further coz I nolonger have that prototype board, but that was the last version of Android that I know of running with a 2ghz kernel, but I thought you wanted to stay on marshmalow anyways, that IMG on China gadgests review website it's not rooted, if you use it and decide to root, make sure to remove all root related binaries from it coz if you flash SuperSU to get root it will brick due to mixed root binaries...

After purchasing a few of these boxes all had flashed fine on the standard SC 7A rom. The third box I tried failed and then wouldn't even respond to anything. To cut a long story short the third box was a Blue LPDDR3 model CZ-S32-V5. I had flashed it with the wrong rom effectively bricking the box. After some bios pin shorting the box was finally responding in USB burning tool. I then opted for the correct rom which failed. I also tried SC's test rom for LP V5 models and it still failed.

The box gets to 8% after formatting and partitioning in USB burning tool then stops displaying the following message.

                                HUB3-1 2018-06-21 18:32:38 169 [0X30403003] UBOOT/Partition_aml_dtb/Download buffer/Data transfer error

Does anyone know what this means ? Have I in fact bricked the box beyond recovery?

                                Many thanks...
