**Edit: Third time's a charm. I'll blame it on peripherals.. .; )
Looks good!
Any tips on using new settings?
HDR and framerate switching, etc,?
** Will this update recognize and support a 64g SD card as adopted memory? 0r is it HW restricted?

This has the following fixes:
- Fixed OTA update script to accept a ro.product.board of "q201" or "q20x".
- New build of Mali driver that supports OpenGL 3.2 + AEP
- New Bluetooth libraries that seem to fix the audio stuttering problem on the Longsys LTM8830.
I'm still seeing intermittent wireless issues, but I think we're getting pretty close. Anyone spot any other problems?
Thank you

Had a few issues at first...Gapps was inoperable, loaded but no data. Desktop wallpaper present, but that was all. .Possibly due to flashing via twrp?
Successfully flashed now. Nicely setup, very quickly boots with a full compliment of added apps. Smooth and perhaps even better rendering. Opted for 32g adopted storage, allowing better storage and addressing for vid library. Lots of other features to become familiar with. All network protocols working quickly as well...no problems encountered virtually anywhere. Only downside, Loss of L1 and corresponding hdcp 1.1. That is a drawback.
Also noting system does not recognize or address any USB drives. Is a fix available for this?
. Great work though! Many kudosLast edited by ClarkKent; 10 February 2018, 05:59.Kris....don't forget my boxes! Okay?

I'm guessing Gina's update will Not run on this Rom? I suppose just placing her supplied bin files within the system is a useless attempt also? What do you suggest to regain said feature? ThnxLast edited by ClarkKent; 10 February 2018, 06:00.Kris....don't forget my boxes! Okay?

Ok, being thick headed...
The extracted bin and key files are useless to this rom? No effective manual -drag-n-drop? Asking Gina for a compatible remake is a minor script change, or considerably more effort to her?
Is there a fix for the following?:
1) No usb drive recognition.
2) Ability to utilize a 64g external sd.**
3) The removal or replacement of the screen hogging search bar. Unusable w/o microphoned device. A phone or tablet device is not bound to this layout, is it? I've never experienced such.
...Sorry, its just ugly and useless.
.
**As twrp is unable to locate ANY recovery files, apparently 'hidden'(?) when using an adopted storage format i guessLast edited by ClarkKent; 12 February 2018, 22:27.Kris....don't forget my boxes! Okay?

Hi all,
I could really use some expert help from the experts here on how to fix my M8S Pro device. I bought it a couple of weeks ago and it was working fairly well. The only problem I had was with the OTA updater not working.
Well, while I was out over the weekend my nephew decided to "fix" it for me. He found this site, downloaded one of the OTA update packages listed earlier in this thread, and applied it to the device. Once he did that the device boots up now as a Nexus/Google device and looks nothing like it did when I got it.
Is there any help for this device now? Is there any way to return it to its original or functional state?
Thanks.

Hey 0!__Better minds than I will come along shortly, I am sure. It may be very useful to know exactly witch rom.It MIGHT be possible a Factory Reset will put you back to hour #1. However All personal data, files, jpgs, and settings will be wiped clean. Copy to an external memory device first in wanted.
Also you could personalize from here forward. Again, help depends specifically on where you 'are' now.?

jre1950, you should be able to install this OEM update to restore your M8S PRO to stock firmware. Just navigate to Settings->About->System update, hit Select to pick the .zip file from an SD card or USB flash drive, click Wipe Data, and then Update.

Well, you'll have to recover by flashing the Amlogic burn package (.img file) with USB Burning Tool. If the bootloader is also corrupted, you may need to short pins on the eMMC chipset to initiate the flash in Mask ROM mode. http://freaktab.com/node/685682
