Try if you can push a button inside the AV port. I hear nowadays sometimes THE reset button is hidden inside of the AV port for some reason.

No such a case in Mecool M8S pro.

Shortcutting the shown two points will act as a reset button. Or shortcutting the points, where the reset button should be.

I agree ... I successfully installed the nexus android TV using zip file (OTA update 531Mb zip file) on USB stick and update app of the stock factory ROM ...

Now, the nexus ROM seem to be similar to factory stock ROM and google play store app is also limited ... any chance to have full google play store? ... I wonder how I will change now the ROM without update app.

        Thanks

        L.E. thanks @lyubodelev

This has happened to you, because the installed firmware on your box has been v0619.
Now you should brush you box with the USB Burning Tool - just to try the shortcutting of the points, if available (just till the burning process passes 7% and then release the shortcutting!) with the full image file. But my advise is to use the Nano package and may be playmarket will be full (I haven't tried this). If this doesn't work, we shall make another thing , but first try this.

The first link - Nano Nexus variant, not Stock. It is not fatal, but Nano variant is pure.

The first link uses the Leanback Launcher.
              MK818B, T428, ATV 1220, CS918S, TV01, S89H, R89, ADT-1, MK808B Plus, MINIX X8-H Plus, Tronsmart Orion R68

Not so bad launcher, ha-ha! The Stock variant is full of some useless for me applications, that have to be frozen, or uninstalled. And the launcher can be replaced...

Thanks, installed finally M8S_PRO-V0928_Stock-20180310 with USB_Burning_Tool_v2.0.8_x86, now play-store is full.

My "Reset button" is now made up by two soldered wires (see red lines) on the place where it was supposed to be.

It is not supposed to be there, but that, what you have done, works!

                    Excellent!

                        Try this:
Open Terminal and enter there the fallowing:
                        su
                        settings put global policy_control immersive.full=*

You don't need to add this in autostart, because these settings are automatically saved.
The bars should begin to autohide, so you will not have to close the navigation bar.

Download and install some Terminal apk from the market.
