Guys, has anyone tried to install the Nvidia Shield Google Assistant apk on Magendanz's ATV firmware ?
You can find it on apkmirror (https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...ease/#whatsnew).
I tried but install fails and I had not yet the opportunity to check the logs...

Without microphone what do you think to do ? Remote has no microphone

No. The minSdkVersion for that build of LeanbackLauncher is 26 (Oreo).

I get confused about all of this eMMc :/ Please can smeone tell me if I can install this rom latest version? My box got Kingstons and it is with firmware version 20170914.

Anyway I have tried and seems to works fine. Later I will test with Netflix and Kodi.

In your previous version (20170825) Netflix was running fine. Only with the latest that is not. Don't know what could be the issue... tried to uninstall and install again from the store and nothing. The app install normally, but when you try to open, it goes to black screen. It not freeze the BOX, since I can go to the home screen with the remote... but the app dont run.

Maybe I could try an older version of the Netflix app, but I dont know where to find older versions for Android TV.

Regarding the PS3 controller apparently it is more hard than I was thinking! Do you know if PS4 or XBOX ONE controllers would work?

Stop any previously opened app which uses video overlay (Youtube, G.P.Movies) or Reboot and start Netflix first.

OEM ROM Netflix ATV version has to use Home to Exit as well

OEM ATV Play Store causes plenty of crashes ...

Actually I have a 2.4Ghz Rii mini i25A remote with microphone which is working with Google voice search
on the ATV firmware. I will check the logs.

Default Reset and the latest OEM Rom is much better. The change from std. Android to ATV version should probably carry an advisory to Reset to Default.
Often helps with issues after an update ....

Hi, I also can agree, that eMMC SEC 652 is not working well.

After Flashing ATV ROM it got stuck at NEXUS logo. Then when I will reflash OEM rom Burning tool aborts in best case at 98% with an error. In the most cases earlier.

Any Ideas how to flash original ROM back? Flashing with SD Card don't work for me?!

I have also have an eMMC SEC 652. After Flashing ATV ROM it got stuck at NEXUS logo. I tried to flash with rom burning tools without success. Finally the box gets bricked (red light) because it has crashed during the flash. I bought 2 boxes. So I decided to flash the second one with the same result (stucked on nexus). I'm able to flash it with SD card (safer), I would like to have the stock rom in OTA update. Could you tell me where can I find it ?

I posted this on the Stock and Nano thread, but I'll repost here...

If you experienced a hang at the logo screen, you might try refreshing your download for the OTA update. I made some tweaks to the updater script late Monday night, providing more user-friendly environment checks, fixing an innocuous result ("Unknown error []"), and substituting a new package_extract_file() syntax that I found the OEM using in their script. When they switched to the new updater binary, they could have deprecated the old method that I'd been using, which might explain why logo, boot and recovery partitions wouldn't get updated. (These updater binaries are notorious for failing silently.)

Or even better (and always recommended, if you have the cable), flash the burn package with USB Burning Tool.

You have to use Home to exit Netflix, that just seems to be the way with this ATV version.

A reset has helped with random crashes in Playstore.

Same with Kodi. It's really up to the app to decide how they handle the Back keyevent when they reach the topmost level of the local page hierarchy.

Due to dynamic refresh rate problem with SPMC/Kodi, I have to change refresh rate manually to match Live TV (50hz) and Movies (24hz).

Is there a command to change display refresh rate to 50hz, 60hz, 24hz without going to the Settings/Display/Screen resolution? If this is possible maybe there is a way to run script with keymap in SPMC to change to the desired refresh rate.

Yes I had that problem with the very first OTA Update (October).

Downloaded the revised Oct. OTA update yesterday and flashed and confirm no problems now with Logo's, Bootloader and TWRP. Thx.

I would suggest those with issues, download the Stock V0619 OEM Firmware:

Extract the recovery.img, save to a Fat32 USB stick/SD card, and use that with a Reset button to get into Android Recovery and then Flash the Android TV Oct. OTA update .zip
Do a Factory Reset as well after flashing if you want to minimise problems.
