Personally, I would try an OEM Update to the first release FW using Update app before anything else, just in case, as this shouldn't affect the warranty !

Flashed this awesome ATV firmware yesterday on my newly received M8S Pro+ 2G/16G from official firmware dated 19-09 and it's working great

Process used: Rebooted in to recovery using Reboot app (as this box doesn't have the reset pin so couldn't use the burn tool ) installed the update zip, cleared cache and data and rebooted.

I got another one with sec 652 and 20170829.121614.V0321. In first post of this theme they write that bad batches are from 652 to713, and here...

I updated that a few weeks ago to include SEC 652.

The Thread Warnings should both be the same so I would take it that 652 is added to the warn list !

Based on first hand experience (see earlier posts), SEC 652 boxes with the 20170829 firmware are a no-go for any other firmwares.

Received my box from gearbest this morning with KLMAG1JENB - B041 SEC 728, and firmware version 20170919.150557.V0619. I flashed it with this rom without any problem.

To be honest, haven't approached them. Still playing with the box at this point.
