Tried to reinstall the img over 10 time and gets to 7% (formatting) and times out, have tried force erase all. Was probably looking at buying a fan before it fail again because when it work it worked brilliantly.
So basically after installing the image file you also did an update via update menu leading to this situation?

P.S: has anyone here any experience loading firmware using burncard maker instead, I dont have the working USB to USB male

Those apps should not cause an issue. If you have something that draws power, plugged into one of the USB ports (like an external HD), that could cause problems.

no I just installed img and loaded apps on it and watch IPTV before work, on returning it hang on the colour symbols, on turning on and off, now no picture.

I've got a link from the vendor for the April zip if you want, I already had it on my box so no point using it but if you want i can give you the link... To install just copy in sd card and on power press the menu button repeatedly so that after mecool it goes to android recovery menu. There install from zip.. Led me back to my blue screen after install .

            April Ota

Sir, so if i dont have USB and use burncardmaker instead, I must short the upper two narrow holes from the picture you linked earlier, have the card with burnt image inserted already and then power on.. It will automatically install? And when I power on i should hold or remove the short..

Been awhile since I have updated any of my boxes, and my memory is not that great. As I recall, you create the bootable microSD card using the Burncard method as described in this link (https://chinagadgetsreviews.com/down...er-v2-0-2.html) and after the microSD card is created, insert it into your box. Your box will still be connected to your TV, NOT your computer. If you can still access Android, all you have to do is install a terminal emulator app, and type "reboot update" in the emulator. The box will reboot and install he firmware that is on the microSD card.

If you do not have Android already on your box, then you MAY have to get into the recovery menu by shorting the pin **holes**..

These boxes are very versatile and very hard to kill. i usually dual boot with LibreELEC or Linux.......

Recover a box on April software stuck at bluetooth screen and not moving anywhere, hoping the march software might help the bluetooth wifi module come to life and also let me get in to use the box, since w/o pairing the Bluetooth remote you just can't enter the menu. Brand new Doa box not available on bluetooth scans.. Vendor shared April Ota but no change as I was already on April..
One more reason to avoid this method is as I'm unsure if it will overwrite the keys for widevine, atleast the USB one doesn't as confirmed by many here

Ok, so you have a firmware you wish to install?? Since it boots to the remote pairing screen, you do have the ability to get to the recovery menu.....

Not yet, I have the image supermal shared but that needs shorting with USB that I don't have.. I am asking the seller for the zip of it and that's the last resort I have.. Yes I do have the ability to go to recovery using the remote itself though

If you have an img file, then the USB burning tool method is the best method by far. I am sure you can find a couple of old USB cables that you don't need. Just cut the ends off and use the male part of the cable, and connect them together to make a male to male connector. The cables are nothing special, just 4 or 6 copper wires covered in plastic and those wires covered in more plastic. You can use a sharp knife to strip the insulation off the wires, then twist the wires together after they have been stripped, black to black, white to white, etc. Then just put some tape on the wires after they are twisted together, use any tape, scotch tape, masking tape, duct tape, etc, whatever you have handy. I had a store bought cable but it was worthless, so I made my own, and have used it many, many times..

If you get usb to usb cable sorted and you can get terminal emulater on your box you can connect to pc without shorting pins.just type in reboot update and press enter and you should hear and see box connect on usb burning tool.with this box you can have power supply connected as well as the usb to usb cable so you can see TV screen and laptop/pc screen at the same time.here is a link as a guide to give you some idea of process https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4Za0_B879Y.of course this is for a box with no other issues but it is good as a guide.
