Have you tried wiping data? The Dalvik cache resides on /Data on our tablets. The only way to wipe Dalvik cache is to wipe data.

New Version Based on 07-01-13 system build date
The OP has been updated with a stock ROM based on the 07-01-13 system build date.
Notable changes include what appears to be a Gameloft compatibility improvement, removal of the face recognition support files, and minor build.prop revisions.
I would not bother updating unless you're having problems or need to reflash for some other reason.
Previous versions remain linked in the Version History.

I have the same problem you have. Tried several times and wiped cache and data, flashed different ROM versions, tried different SdCards, formatted them. SdCard is seen in recovery but doesn't mount when running the tablet. Also when I go in Settings/Storage it crashes when SD card is connected. Also I've noticed that when I connect the tablet to my computer and turn USB storage on it only mounts the SdCard and not anymore the internal storage.
any idea of what is possible to do?
Thank u

question
was wondering about something.
the other day, i needed to pull some files offa my tablet, so i plugged it into my comp while it was charging. now the manual says that i should turn it off while its charging, which i normally do, but i needed the files so i thought this one time wouldn't hurt none.
i let it boot up, plugged it into my comp and activated USB transfer, and got the files.
had to leave for a sec so i just left it plugged in.
while i was gone, my nephew unplugged it from the wall charger by accident, but not the comp.
when i got back to my comp, it was showing the charging icon off of the usb cable alone, and since then, the wall charger stops charging at around 50%, will NOT charge it past that point. the little red charging light goes off and everything. if i want a full battery, i have to plug it into my computer, be the tablet on or off, to get a full battery outta it.
the manual says that this tablet CAN NOT charge off of a usb cable.
any ideas on what happened? and if so, how can i set it back to charging off of the wall charger to full battery?
again, thanks for all your help up to this point.

Unfortunately, I've never experienced the trouble you described, so I can't offer much advice. If it were me, I'd probably do the following one at time, until the problem went away:
Wipe cache
Wipe data

Your battery is probally charging just fine, and can charge very very slowly via usb. Android's os however can occasionally become "confused" about your charge levels especially if diffrent methods are employed in one charging session. Battery level reporting in Android is not hardware based but rather and educated guess by the software, but the guess is treated by the os as completley true. So you need to find a way to reset the guess your tablet makes. So far there are two things that have helped me.
Method 1:
Run tablet till it dies completley. Charge fully before unplugging and reboot only after full charge.
Method 2:
Boot into recovery and wipe data and cache. Charge fully then reboot. Some apps claim to be able to reset your battery level but use at your own risk as they may not work.
As a last resort reflash everything and charge fully.
Also it is perfectly fine to charge the tablet while it is on. Ive been doing it since i got the tablet with no ill effect. And I also plug in a usb cable when Im sitting in my recliner for length so I don't run the battery down.
Also an old techs tale for anything running modern batteries. To extend the life of your device it is good to run the battery down below 20% once a month and charge fully. YMMV

They buy them from Yifang Digital just like all the other tablet clone vendors.

I've got one of the old rockchip models though, and I'm pretty sure the one I have also slow charges over usb, although it doesn't support USB OTG.
I'm also pretty sure eFun / Nextbook claims they only support USB mouse and keyboard, while they also support USB flash drives and hard drives and USB 3G Dongles. I have not got any USB WiFi or Bluetooth dongles to work though, I don't think we have any drivers for those. CT added USB Bluetooth support to the Ainol tablets. I'm hoping his patch can be ported to the Nextbooks eventually.

This is good advice. Don't reflash or even clear the data partition until you try the first method several times. Go into settings and set the display sleep mode to never timeout and brightness to max - not only will this speed things up, but it is more likely to fix your problem.
Again, try the first option 3 or 4 times before trying something else. Good luck!Nextbook Premium 8 SE (Next8P12) - * ROOTED * (Sold on ****)
