Try using another usb male to male cable then!
If you don't have another one just make one from 2 old usb cables!

You can unroot any box any firmware yourself. All standard firmwares try to provide root, its your job to unroot it.

romcrazy : I disagree! It is definitely not normal that any box is rooted - though almost any Chinese box is rooted. I had one box - if I remember right - which could not be unrooted: h96 mini+ S905w. Or could not be magisk rooted...I do not remember any more

How do u unroot this h96 max x2? I try with magisk but it did not work.... My TV app still detect my box as rooted... I tot flashing will be the best way w a unroot way....

I agree some are rooted in a way that proves very difficult to unroot. but if you have adb knowledge every root can be removed.

My h96 max x2 came rooted... And i couldnt find the app that root it.... Is there a way? I do not have adb knowledge but would love to learn if someone is willing to guide me... Tia...

First get your backup made. Dont go around trying stuff without backing up your current system. Read this thread you will find the recovery and means to boot that recovery. Make your backup. And then we will tell you further what to do. Edit: Magisk wont work

I saw alot in this thread.... do the backup using twrp w sd card right? But the link for the recovery.img is not working... file not found... i need that to boot right?
And one question how to recover with the backup? It seems that this thread show alot on backing up but nothing to show on recovery if the system brick... Can guide? thanks..

Page 23. You should really read the thread. thats how we all learn. Use a usb flash drive. As long as you can boot into recovery from sdcard or usb flash drive and have your backup folder, you can recover.

And you cant brick your box. Believe me I tried.
