Since it's been a while since I've updated this ROM, let me look at it tomorrow and see what I come up with.
Did you managed to take a look at it? I appreciate any help!

P.S. Thank you for doing great M6 ROMs, using them from the very beginning.

Sorry, I've been temporarily assigned as the Shift Commander at my Fire Department and I've been so busy, I haven't had time to look. Maybe over the weekend, I can get my head above water and expand that System.img.

It appears RileyROMs are undergoing some growing pains due to the growth and expansion of the Pipo firmware structure. It's hard to guess what to keep and what to leave out in order to keep users happy...and it's a learning process on how much room I need to leave in the system.

Please bare with me as I make the necessary adjustments. And feel free to offer suggestions. These last few ROMs have been a challenge....but I'm not giving up.

Thank you Randy. I'll look forward for your reply.

Meanwhile, I may test if LUKS (dm_crypt module) does work in original PIPO rom. You said that this is a test release rom, where can I get it to test?

Wow, finally off work to concentrate...at least a little while on what's transpired over the last few days.

I have a few questions, though.

While I couldn't remember exactly where I was at on this ROM in answering a few of the last posts, it seems that I already made some changes to the ROM to expand the system.img file and add working ko modules that previously weren't.

Are you saying that 1.8a you are having the same problems as before with editing system files? I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting if that's the case.

Please report your findings on 1.8a. What do I still need to fix?

I see that the LUK decryption is an issue, but I'm not sure what I need to do to fix that, because I don't know what it does. With the expanded system on 1.8a, you should have room for the .sh scripts required to run that app. Have you tried 1.8a with LUK?

Please understand that due to the nature of tablets, I try not to change much in the system unless absolutely necessary...that being said, I'm wondering what I may be doing that causes the app to not work in my custom ROM, but it works with the stock ROM.

Here is the link to the stock ROM I used to create v1.8:

              Problems with 1.8a

              Hi Randy

Don't know if this could help... I've installed the 1.8a version with the 8gb parameter file, and get stucked at boot logo. Rolled back to 1.8, with the same parameter file, and no problems so far (just some random FC when try to connect to a new WiFi.... Nothing important, guess it's more to the tablet than your rom)

BTW, you left a copy of the GPS Test app in both 1.8a and 1.8 Roms.... Maybe you were mixing something with the M6 PRO roms?

That's my two cents, hope it could help. Thank you again!!!

@ quepucfer use quick shortcut maker from playstore to create the missing link to contacts.

That GPS Test app is part of the stock ROM. I left it in because I thought it might be necessary for the GPS to work.

Thank you for your help. Now I can access to contacts app. But I think there is a fault at the Rom. I have flashed twice and the icon of contacts apps is always lost.

Anyway the problems I used to have with the sd card and the WIFI (disconnections when I insert te sd card) have been solven (cross my fingers).

I have installed crossbreeder too. I´m waiting for the next rom.

                    Thanks a lot!

Randy, but the M6 has not GPS. This app is not for this model. It´s a litte bit curious that this app were part of the stock ROM.

Is there something wrong with cwmrecovery.img ? It´s size is quite small. I flashed RileyROM 1.8
with cwmrecovery and after that system could not find sdcard. Same happened with rom 1.8a.
There is an other cwmrecovery.img in post CWM for Pipo Max M6, whitch is mutch larger.

I flashed my tablet with rom 1.8 with stockrecovery and after that I flashed again with only that
big cwmrecovery and everything worked fine. I made with ROM manager 5.5.3.0 system backup
to external sdcard and restored that back and everything seems to be OK. ROMmanager asked
the cwm version and I guessed it to be the newer one.

So once again: is the cwmrecovery.img in this post (size 1988 kt) corrupted???

No, it's not corrupted. It is the generic version made by fun_. I use it since the first custom rom came up and it works like a charm. Cwm can't format the internal SD that's why you have to do it manually.
