    Hi wasser,
I'm in process of regular testing of your FW (revision is specified below). I had done my tests a bit longer and noticed that I'm not able to watch any movie via LAN entirely from the beginning to the end. Box is always rebooting or switching off at all after various time which is about one hour or less.
I suppose these errors which ifconfig log shows to us and the situation when you couldn't find Eth switched on in my dmesg log( but it is switched on in fact), say about some kind of existing conflict in system.
Have you been visited yet by any idea how we can solve this issue?
If you want me to do any special test, just let me know.
And one more question for you. Can you give me advice how to switch 1080p mode so that the system wouldn't change resolution automatically and would allow me to have screenshot function working properly?
Sorry if I load you so much.

      Hi guys,
It looks like the secret of difference among the boards for NON BT devices TN-BX09_V2.1 from 2013/05/31 has just been discovered!
It is fresh news from our Russian speaking community 4PDA where man DEPECHE has found the main difference in number 1332 and 1335 which is printed on board too. It is suspected these numbers mean the week of born. So 32 is older than 35. Therefore, 32 corresponds to OLD version of wasser's FW, while 35 corresponds to NEW one.

Hi Wassar/digger and all of you guys,
I got my k-r42 only a couple of days ago from geekbuying. I opened the case and, as you can see, it's also a v2.1 dated 2013/05/31, but instead of 1332 or 1335, it is numbered 1340.

Did any of you bumped into this printed number?
Is it safe to install Wassar's FW on it?

                Hi tol,
I absolutely agree with no_spam_for_me, you have newer revision. And if I were you I would try to flash it with k-r42-new_revision-wasser-1.2.2 firmware.

I'm still using wasser's new revision 1.2.2. I was curious and opened up my box. I also have the 1340 number. All is well with it, but i do have 3 problems/questions

                  1. when i power down with remote and power up later in the day (with remote), my screen will turn black and i have to unplug the power cord on the box to reboot correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

                  2. (not as a big deal) when i use the reboot app (in the app section), everytime it starts up I no longer have lan. Only cure is to unplug power then plug back in. This isn't a big deal, just noticed it while testing the power functions above.

                  3. I want to add the 360 controller files that i must change permissions for. Can I ftp using justxbmc, if so, what is the username and pass?

                  Thanks to all

                    Hi digger and no_spam_for_me,
Thank you both - I just flashed the new 1.2.2 Wasser's FW.
It seems to work fine. I'll have a more thorough test later on.

                    regards!

Wasser, I see you thank minix for the firmware in your first post.

Is 1.2.2 based off the minix 007 firmware with the newer kernel ?

I'm not 100% convinced as I installed the "old" version, everything works fine (Lan and Wifi).... then i opened my K-R42 out of interest and its marked 1335

It sounds kind of strange. Did you applay EraseIDB before flashing k-r42-old_revision-wasser-1.2.2? Whose NAND is soldered on your 1335 board in, SKhunix or Toshiba?

                                hey no spam
I had those issues. Not sure if this is definitely the order i did things but this works for me.
                                go to settings then storage
choose mount nand (nothing really happens)
i eventually saw an icon on the bottom left next to the time and clicked on it.
asked if i wanted to format storage which you do want
                                That did it for me

btw, i figured out the black screen problem after i turn on with the remote. I was powering off while having justxbmc open then trying to power on later. When I power down at the android screen it opens correctly.
