          thats good news anyway, i was trying to do the static mac fix, so i added a file 01mac.sh into /system/etc/init.d, with LF line endings, 755 chmod and this content:

          Code:
          #!/bin/sh

          ifconfig eth0 hw ether 00:91:30:80:20:17
          and its still not working. what to do?

            I got old k-r42 - all is ok on last wasser`s firmware , but tv out is strange:
            If I turn on box with tv out its starting ok, but resolution is 1080p and I see only left up corner of my launcher. So after booting in launcher I have to plug hdmi in then out and after that I receive normal screen in tv out mode.

              interesting findings! i have also the old unit (jesurun dx05) and i have never tried this behaviour. i just noticed that the way tv out image is distorted changes when i switch PAL/NTSC and also i have to jiggle with the resolutions a bit untill i see the picture at all. nevertheless, it should be fixed this weekend, so that's that...

                I'm using the firmware 1.2.2 old revision on my k-r42.

                I can enable wifi or ethernet.

                1) In wifi or ethernet I can't open Google Play store:
                The first time I launch it it asks me for my login/pwd. And then it closes itself
                I tried also with a new fresh google account, same behavior.

                2) I downloaded speedtest.apk from another source than play store and installed it:
                Ping test works
                download test works
                upload doesn't start at all

                3) ifconfig after speedtest in wifi
                lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0

                  How I understood it, you have to use a configuration file and not handle it with ifconfig (most don't work like changing mask and so on because stored in prop...)
                  Code:
                  echo "00:91:30:80:20:17" > /data/misc/wifi/wlan_mac
                  If you use init.d scripts, start it with
                  Code:
                  #!/system/bin/sh
                  and dont use blank/empty line

                    I just found what causing those strange bug with Google Play store and Speedtest.
                    I just modify my MTU to 1460 on eth0, and now speedtest uploads correctly and even playstore launch correctly.
                    So I suppose my router didn't like MTU 1500.

                    EDIT: I did the same modification on the wlan0, and it also works.

                    But I don't know howto make this modifications on MTU permanent.

                        not to apologize

                        OK I try it with cwm
                        1. wipe data/factory reset
                        Code:
                        -- Wiping data...
                        Formatting /data...
                        Formatting /cache...
                        Formatting /sd-ext...
                        No app2sd partion found. Skipping format of /sd-ext.
                        Error mounting /sdcard/.android_secure!
                        Skipping format...
                        Data wipe complete
                        2. wipe cache partition (really needing because of "Formatting /cache..."?)
                        Code:
                        -- Wiping cache....
                        Formatting /cache...
                        Cache wipe complete.
                        3. advanced -> wipe dalvik cache
                        Code:
                        Dalvik Cache wiped.
                        So, after reboot do you mean with "Mount NAND option" the
                        settings -> storage -> <Mount Nand Flash>?
                        I didn't get any symbol in the right screen corner?

                        The only think is, I've lost all my installed application (no matter I've a script to install them via adb BUT now I've the device as "Nexus 7" in my windos explorer...(OK "Connect to PC" AND "USB debugging"))

                        The fix is really easy
                        because it didn't work for me ....

                        Some other idea?
                        this issue will be fixed in 1.2.3 firmware

                            firmware-1.2.3 supports static ethernet mac adress. for static mac adress you should add it in /etc/ethernet-mac
