First short test

OLD Revision (my PCB: CH001 1332 TN-BX09_V2.1 2013/05/31)

INTERNAL STORAGE => 1.97GB
NAND FLASH => 4.29GB
(BTW: what's about the missing ~1.7GB? I think ~350MB is Backup-mnt, but where is the rest?)

I watched this afernoon avatar in 720p, sounds and image was great, but justxbmc stopped playing my video after a 2min pause and resuming.

I still need to change my MTU on wlan0 or eth0 to be able to use Google play stor, upload on speedtest or even to download addons/skins.

But even MTU changed to 1460, skins downloading is really slow(it was the same with 1.2.2).
My router is connecting to my VDSL provider in PPPOE with MTU 1492. Not sure it's related.

Speedtest gives me 30Mb/s in download and 3Mb/s for upload

I have a lot of dropped RX packets on my wlan0:

Have you tested passthrough spdif for DD5.1/AC3?
On 1.2.1 only DTS was working. On DD5.1/AC3 the amplituner gets DD stream but there was silence in speakers.
I'm still waiting for DD5.1 passthrough via SPDIF. Does anyone know is this possible?

Yes AC3 works correctly via SPDIF. To make it work don't forget to select SPDIF output in Android settings and in XBMC.

I have no luck. I flash wasser's 1.2.3 firmware. Then I set sound settings to: 1) ROCKCHIP-SPDIF, 2) RK29_RK1000&ROCKCHIP-SPDIF in Android settings. In XBMC settings I had error at "Passthrough output device" - "No devices found".
Then I installed justXBMCv4.apk from Lewy. The error gone and I saw "libmedia hack ... " at "passthrough output devices", but still nothing. Playing video wasn't smooth and there was no sound even though receiver signals that he gets an DD stream.

I'm loosing hope.

At the moment in 1.2.3 justXBMCv3.apk is installed, but I don't know, how and from where you get a fitting /system/lib/libmedia.so, so you can try justXBMCv4.apk...
BUT only think so, don't really know it (ask at lewy20041 thread but get no answer)

PS: downgrade to 1.2.1 because of 1080P...

external sound card

gentleman, would anyone happen to know how to handle MULTICHANNEL sound with external USB sound card?

i have a 5.1 setup but it doesn't have SPDIF input (its just a cheap Genius setup although all-wooden and good sound which i got for about $110). in my computer, i used external soundcard SoundBlaster X-Fi Surround 5.1, which then feeded all six cinches on the speaker input unit.

when i connect this sound card to my jesurun dx05, i see it in the sound manager. so i select it. but the sound comes out only as stereo and i get awfully lot of crackling. i have a dolby multichannel test video which testes all audio channels and shows on the screen which of them are playing. FrontLeft goes to FL speaker, Center goes to FL and FR speaker, FR goes to FR speaker, RR goes to FR speaker, RL goes to FL speaker and the subwoofer is silence at all.

i tried to play this video in both xbmc and internal rockplayer, both of them no good (in the internal player, the picture was also in wrong aspect ratio, but nevermind that, im using xbmc to play my videos)

please help?

I didn't do nothing more than install justXBMCv4.apk. In original wasser's justXBMC I had an error "no device found". I don't know where I can found other versions of libmedia to change and test this manually.

In the xbmc settings you have to ignore the "Passthrough output device" - "No devices found" as this comes up because passthrough with a RK3188 is an unofficial hack. The reason it does not come up in justXBMCv4 is because the code was changed to hide it.

Its strange that you are having issues with spdif passthrough as hdmi passthrough works with everything. You could copy the libmedia.so file from justXBMC Rom using ES Explorer to USB and copy that to wasser rom and see if that fixes it.

BTW: libmedia.so's are different in 1.2.1 and 1.2.3 (binary compare with "Beyond Compare 3")
