I have tested 1.2.1 - 1.2.3 firmwares for k-r42 both old and new revision versions and wifi works ok with 1.2.3 version but wired ethernet doesn't work with any of these versions. I tested with manual ip config and dhcp without luck. I'm very rookie with these but noticed same effect earlier when one of these switches (link below) was missing from config when I compiled kernel by myself: http://linux-rockchip.info/mw/index.php?title=K-R42

I take this one back. There came also weird read&write errors and after I changed usb wire and port and flashed old revision 1.2.3 again wired ethernet started to work nicely. Thanks for great rom!

I don't succeed to read a lot of movies, I have only audio. Specially divx/xvid.

      I didn't have this problem with 1.2.2.
Any idea ? I'm surprised that no one posted about this.

I'm not surprised... I think most of us here download movies in Full HD with DTS or DD5.1.

Xvid/Divx aren't used that much for full HD movies (if at all)

But the question is do you have the same trouble ?

Nope, I don't have those troubles.
I'm only downloading 720p and 1080p movies with DTS or DD5.1 (which are mostly in MKV format).

I'm going back to a fresh justxbmc. I will wait for a new rom more stable than the current one.

                Hi wasser!
Please have my sincere congratulations with your release of new FW!!!
My first impressions after doing my initial test with 1.2.3 OLD are:
                1) I hope it is more stabile (needs more time for testing)-???
                2) HW and SW Power switches work properly(wired mouse, whireless mouse, T2 air mouse, stock remote cont., etc.)-O.K.
                3) Both Eth and Wifi are working-O.K.
                4) Supporting Static Eth Mac Address-O.K.
                5) There isn't puzzle with mounting NAND-O.K.
                6) Perfect choise with memory sizes partition of 2+4,5 -O.K.
                7) RX packets problem is solved( but just till you don't switch wifi OFF. If wifi is in ON position, errors are present again. One cure only is to switch wifi OFF and reboot the sysyem)-80%O.K.
                8) I can't uninstall ES Explorer, so as to install another version which allows me to change files permission. It is my shortage of knowledges maybe-???
                9) All tests I know show me 720p kernel. I could not see 1080p-???
                10) I couldn't use screenshot function properly, captured files have part of image only and don't have 1080p properties???
                11) AnTuTu scores are good enough, (about 19000+)-O.K.
                12) 5.1 Channel sound (AC3, DD, DTS)works perfectly through SPDIF (Rockchip-Spdif Passth.) with MX Player HW decoding mode -O.K.

If you want me to do some special test, I will be glad, just let me know.
                Best regards!!!

                  kernel clock for new rev

                  Hi wasser

                  thanks for your 1.2.3 firmware.
My first tests are ok on both but new-rev kernel has 1.4Ghz cpu clock.

Can you provide standard cpu clock and also overclocked kernel (as done for finless for minix) please ?

                  Best regards
                  Franck.

                    Hi guys!
I sincerely hope wasser forgive me for this trick
For those who want to make their 1080p feature be visible with some kind of tests or XMBC system info screen, I would recommend to do this simple change in build.prop:
                    - in line
                    video.use.overlay=1 change argument 1 to 0.
In case font size and icons become too small for your tired eyes:
                    ro.sf.lcd_density=160 change argument 160 to 240.
Don't forget to provide build.prop file with same permission after saving (rw-r--r--).
Now AnTuTu will show you 1920x1008 screen resolution and screenshot function will work properly too.
At the moment I'm happy with this 1.2.3 FW by wasser for 98%!
Only one thing I would ask wasser about is to compile overclocked kernel with cpu1704_gpu600_ddr800.
                    Good luck!

I have another problem. The winamp is not running. I had this problem on some Lewy's firmware too (I don't remember which version). Do you able to run Winamp with Waser's 1.2.3 firmware?

BTW. I describe my problem and observations with AC3 Passthrough and "old" receivers (Sony) at this topic "AC3, DTS, DD5.1 - which firmware and kernel to use?". Wasser, could you take a look if there is any chance to patch some libs to stream correct AC3 stream?
                        Thanks.

                          THX!

                          Because
                          1. adb shell setprop video.use.overlay 0
                          2. adb shell setprop ro.sf.lcd_density 240
doesn't work (1. only temporary and 2. without any effect)

                          I use this way:
                          Code:
                          adb pull /system/build.prop build.prop
Than edit with << notepad++ >> and save

                          Code:
                          adb remount -oremount,rw /
                          adb push build.prop /system/build.prop
                          adb shell chmod 644 /system/build.prop
                          adb remount -oremount,ro /

awesome wasser!!! I'm loving the newest build.

Is there any simple explanation for what higher cpu and ddr mean for performance? For instance, If I notice that when using xbmc and skipping forward 30 minutes on some higher bitrate mkv files the video struggles to catch up, Would increasing cpu speed do or does increase in ddr help also?

Thanks for all the hard work!!!
