Minix Neo X7 - Finless 1.8 ROM

No SPDIF passthru with Air mouse connected

I just received my air mouse A2
Firstly sound output defaults to air mouse, already noted in the thread
but worst of all the SPDIF passthru option is not showing

So no way to get the full sound for DTS

Any ideas?

internal NAND gets deleted /unmounted

I use Finless Bob 1.8. Before that i used Quickshot v2. Both are great. I use Beyond XBMC and have used it on both.
something happened twice during january.

two times my internal NAND seemed to just disapear and XBMC got .. reset to a new install so to speak.

I have to mount it again and with the result that i have to format it = zero data.

anyone else experienced this ? i have a slight overclocked 720 ddr and use no frills to go 1.ghz - 1.6 ghz

sometimes i experience a bit of lag in the xbmc interface - and feels like the android launcher as well.
i dont have many apps, i mainly use the x7 for xbxmc and browsing.

Standard remote, and a 2.4 ghz mouse.

Can it be the OC that corrupt something sometimes or who can gimme some input on this weird matter?

ps. thank god for backups - i do have 1000+ movies so....

I don't know if this is relevant at all but if I unplug any of my mice/airmice dongles from the machine when it is on then my nand gets unmounted. I have to go into settings and remount it before I can continue. I don't know if it does it with all usb devices and I am not on this rom but I thought I would mention it.

its just plain weird. my X5 dont do it. it is on Finless bob 1.3 ROM.

im not sure it has anything to do with ROM type.. perhaps it is a hardware defect even ?

The way you described it last time was as if your nand was becoming corrupted. You mentioned that not only your xbmc settings went missing but you had a load of blank icons in apps drawer etc.

I am not even using the minix as my daily driver. I use the K-R42 with wassers older rom. 1.2.3 I think.

I will be switching over to the new UT2 32 gig in the next day or two tho.

I've been using this for a week or 2 and its undeniably a great ROM as to be expected from Bob. I am using the 720p - 1800/600/720 kernel toned down to 1008-1704 (I think) using no frills and get Antutu scores of 20300 which is great, but for the last week I've been having massive problems with lag despite antutu scores. Most apps freeze before they display properly or lock up and I have to close and reopen, despite the speed tests and good video playback on xbmc. Any ideas what's causing this. Also what would you recommend out of no frills and pimp my ROM? Pimp my ROM has a lot of additional tweaks but no frills seems to run better on boot. I am wondering if having the two programs installed is causing the lag or confusion although this is just a guess

installed finless 1.8

install was okay.rebooted and let it do its thing for 5-10 minutes.once navigating through settings I noticed stuttering [flicker] every few seconds.then went to install xbmc for minix but got a message this software is for minix.i downloaded and installed Frodo and then went ok.navigating through xbmc was super fast,much faster than with the standard fw installed.when I played a music video clip there was constant flickering and the clip would continually stop and start and the same when watching a movie.the finless install was very buggy. sorry for my 1st post being so negative but this is what I encountered.if there was a fix,i would definitely try it again.

Mount SD as internal storage

Finless 1.8 is a rooted rom. It does not need rooting, already done. Does it have strasform patch on rom ? If not, you need to copy and paste with es file explorer or root explorer the patch. Good Luck Kevin

Now I have one more question, i have SD Sandisk ultra 32gb. I would like to use it as internal storrage. I read about that there should be changed VOLD.FSTAB file. Is it safe to do it with this ROM, and can anybody tell me what has to be chainged in the file and how should the SD card be formated.

reading the characteristics of Andorid 4.4 Kitkat I found this:

think it is possible to insert the X7 to be able to see properly 24p 50p 60p video format without having to change the resolution every time?
