You have SR9700 adapter, but the log dont write usb version. Your dmesg not a standard. I think, your device have some error, but Im only a user, not a programmer. Here is pair of line from my dmesg:

          Hi Neomode ,

Thanks for your on this ROM ! It was the only one that would install and work on my stick....

Not sure what model my stick is, but here are some pics:

I noticed some issues with videos:

          1) When a videos plays it looks like the HDMI connection is interrupted. I used a xvid video from a Windows share folder using MX Player and BS Player using CIFS Manager. When the same file is played from either an attached USB Flash drive or the Internal SD , it fails to play at all - very strange .

          2) Youtube streaming also has the same issues, the screen goes black, the HDMI port and resolution status bar flashes on my Vizio HDTV and video starts again.

The interruptions occur every 3 to 5 mins. , otherwise the videos play with very good quality !

          Some other related symptoms:

          1) Same HDMI connection loss happens on on some apps including Settings.
          2) The image on the taskbar on the bottom sometime flickers at the top of the screen
          3) in some apps (ex: from ES File Manager) a few pixel from the top line look compressed:

I'm using the stock kernel.img and tried with both 720p and 1080p resolutions. Experimented with the kernel1.img , kernel2.img and kernel3.img versions as well - same results.

Could this be an issue with the video frequencies being unstable or some HDCP/DRM copy protection scheme? Also by lowering the DPI to about 140 seems to lessen the interruptions.

P.S. does any one have a clue what the real model # is and where I can find the stock ROM for this stick?

Stupid of me not to make a backup before flashing !

Info from the original ROM :

          Vendor Software:
          RK3188_R-BOX_ANDROID4.2.2-SDK_V1.0.0.130514

          Build:
          rk31sdk-eng4.2.2JDQ39eng.ant20130905.174416testkeys

          Kernel:
          3.0.36+ ant@adminroot-X9DRL-3F-iF#281
          Thu Sep5 17:43:16 CST 2013

Thanks in advance for anyone's help !

          Update:

This is like playing Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Finally found a ROM that works without too many issues :

          NEOMODE HYBRID ROM 1.7 - MK802IV, UG007B, CX-919, MK809III and others with AP6210

Jerky streaming video after a few minutes of play, but that could be a wifi problem that needs to be debugged!

              Bricked?

              Hi Team,

I have got MK809III and was going to use this firmware. I did Erase IDB, went fine. Then I clicked Run and it started uploading some data. After a big file was uploaded it said that cannot find IDB file.

Now it says same no matter what I used. I tried RkBatchTool (from Rescue package) and it says:

As seen I tried both Upgrade and Restore functions.

I am on Windows 7 (64bit). It did not find drivers so I had to install from 1.9a package. I tried 2 computers. Mine cable is rather good one (came with Samsung Galaxy S3).

Is it completely dead or I can restore it still?'

              Thanks in advance.

                Mine brick is recovered

OK, I figured it out. Mine PCB says CYXTECH V1_1. It is green colored PCB. I had to use CX919II firmware. I also learned that once it says IDB failed there is no way you can restore it unless you short circuit pins 6 an 7 and use RkBatchTool with firmware for CX919II. If you hold reset and connect it to USB the RkBatchTool would put green color on the box representing connected device. But if I do trick with pins 6 and 7 it would color it with deep blue. Then using Restore it would format the memory and upload firmware. After that I was able to use RkAndroidTool to upload custom ROM and let it run.

                Hope this may help anyone.

Except one issue the video is statering. video playback is not smooth. I used 720p kernel. If Neo will fix this then this rom will be one of the best. Thank you for your efforts, Neomode.
I too have the MK809iv. It seems that it's so new that there is not much support for it. All I want is for it to play videos smoothly. I have the Mele F10 Pro air remote connected with the standard rom that it came with and when any video is playing it stutters until I move the mouse and then it plays smoothly, which is very odd!

I'm going to Flash to the 1.9a Rom and need to know which Kernal to use so that I can play the videos as well.

All neomodes kernels are video fixed so if that's what you looking for just flash it with the one that the loader defaults to and enjoy.

I'm using Neomode 1.9a rom. Neomode kernel3 and CPU-Z gives clock range of 312Mhz-1.42Ghz on my MK809III. Before I was using kernel2 it gave me 1.2Ghz-1.42Ghz.
Running kernel3 in 1080p mode gives me lots of green pixels running through the picture. They go away when set mode to 720p.
