Pipo M9 Pro - Finless 1.5 ROM

I have a new ROM ready to release with the 4.4.2 firmware, but I've hesitated posting it. I have read horror stories of bricked tablets from flashing. I experienced it myself on one of my tablets.

That being said...I will post the link to the RILEYROM version if you understand the risk and know how to unbrick it...before you flash. I'm needing a pretty savvy tester to verify that this ROM works for me.

If people know that they have to tick the loader when returning back there's no problem, i expierenced myself and was easy to unbrick. Just hold both buttons and plug in to PC and flashtool see the device.

How is GPS or isn't the module missing here to?

Can't reboot or shutdown the tablet

Hi all,

At the moment, I've never had a problem with any of the Roms (Riley or Finless).
I prefer the KitKat so I flashed my tablet with the new RileyRom.
I met a very annoying problem : impossible to stop the tablet itself. When I reboot or shutdown, the process is always active & never stops.
I've to make a hard shutdown.

I keep the original SU (the one with the Rom), then I tested the updating, then I stop caused by standard hard boutons : nothing works ...

I can re-flash th Finless 1.5 or one of the RileyRom without problem (with the good loader)... and my tablet can again reboot or stop...

Has anyone experienced the same symptoms, and do you see a solution ?
I'd to reflash 6/7 times (including loader)... and my tablet can again reboot or stop...

Do you mean you have a bootloop ? It's diffucult to understand wat you try to say.

I re-flash the tablet with the Finless 1.5, and I don't meet the problem : I can again reboot or shutdown the system (halt, shutdown -h now, under nux & so on...)

Shut device off with reset /pin so device is completely OFF

Open RKbatchtool ,without device attached TO pc with usb.

Push both buttons(esc and power )en hold them pushed while you now connect the usb to PC.

Now RKbatchtool should see the device and you can flash another rom now.

This is what I do for every shutdown (reset pin, RKbatchtool), with a flash between a restart ... but I'll not flash my whole life for each stop of the tablet, héhééé !

Did you tick the loader in batchtool before start flash ? You are now on KitKat i presume ?

Is the device OFF when you put a pin in the reset hole?

The first times, I thought the SU doesn't correctly took the rights (that's why I update it), but it doesn't seem that. And this is the same result when I try to stop the tablet by pressing the physical button "off" (or stop in english, I don't remember).
Now, I'm on the Finless 1.5 rom : no problem stopping in, as KitKat...

Forget KitKat for now and stay on Finless 1.5,i'm on it to and it has a great battery life.

Yep, that's what I'll do : I was very satisfied, no freeze & bug for me, smoothy..
It's just that I prefer the launcher with KitKat, and I feel it's more "light".
I'll see it with the next Rom, if it goes...

I agree...the KitKat is still a little rough...but its nice to know what the problems are.

If you want to maintain full functionality just stick with this Finless ROM.

Got a problem...currently when i have used my M9 Pro with Finless 1.5 and i putted it aside for one hour or so,it's turned off !!! It's like you tell you to Windows to shut off within 1 hour or so.
Anywone see this before ?
