I've installed the 1.5 ROM on a PiPo M9 Pro 3G , and It seems there is no cifs.ko module ? am I wrong or did you intentionnally omit it ? is there a way to have a cifs-enabled ROM for PiPo M9 Pro 3G ? (I really need this module for my daily tasks with this device)

Thanks for any information you would have .

I did not remove it. I believe it is built in the stock ROM (it was on the previous stock ROM) but I did not test it.

Thank you for the info, I installed the RileyROm 2.1 and cifs.ko is there, I'll stick with it until the next PiPo M9 PRO 3G compatible ROM including it !

Is it difficult for developers to add support for cifs.ko (and tun.ko) by default in the ROM available ? (or avalaible for people who make donations )

Did you try to pull the charger out and back in? If that's not solve the problem your charger is defective.
You have constant boots,so the battery can't be dead, but keeps consuming power so tick the reset hole so power is OFF.If the battery is completely dead it will give problems when the issue is solved and you try booting with no charge at all

My wife's M9 Max had problems with it's charger. But if we carefully moved the cord close to where it goes into the moulded plug (that connects to the tablet) the red light would stay on steadily. The trick was to arrange the cord so that you could let go and the charger would continue to charge.

We went direct to Pipo who wouldn't cover the charger under warranty, but sold us a new one for a few dollars. In the meantime we kept jiggling the cord or she shared the charger from my M9 Pro.

            Hope that helps.

Here's a question for you..... Do you know if PIPO chargers are a replica of a generic type? I'm after finding a UK plug and apparently pipo are having manufacturing problems....

You can use a local power adaptor but you need to match the voltage and current rating and size and polarity of connector. I would test the output with a digital volt meter before plugging to tablet to make sure it's very close to the 9v. It may be difficult to find one with the small 2.5 km plug though rewiring it is an option.

I can't answer as to "generic type", but my M9Pro came with the US 120V charger and they also included a UK travel adapter that looks just like:

Mine is 10A 250V instead of 13A at the above URL, but the charger just plugs into the adapter. I have to ASSUME that the two pins and one prong are what you are looking for. Or maybe you are looking to pickup a charger in the UK that has the same 5V 2.5A DC output as whatever came with your tablet???

When we were having problems with ours, I contemplated cutting the plug off and replacing it, because that's where the problem appeared to be.
It took all of 2 seconds for me to realise the problems of that solution and quickly ordered a replacement from Pipo.

BTW, I think all their chargers suit US wall plugs, and everyone else has to buy an adaptor.

I've seen pictures of EU plugs and UK plugs on some web sites...so I think they are available from somewhere.

The problem with using a generic charger is that the voltage HAS TO BE the specific spec for the tablet.

I fried a Pipo tablet one time using the wrong charger. There is circuitry on the motherboard that is meant to protect the battery from over voltage, but if the circuit it tripped, you can't ever charge the tablet again...EVER.

I recently purchased a universal charger from Walmart for $18. It has multiple voltage settings, including the 9 volt that the M6 requires. It also has several tips that can be attached to the charging cable which includes one that fits the tablet. It puts out sufficient power to charge the tablet also. Works great. I believe this is the same charger ordered from an online seller: http://www.lightsforalloccasions.com...r-adapter.aspx thanks, Jim

Just so there is no confusion for others who may read this.
This is the M9 Pro thread and the M9 uses 5 volt DC for the input charge.

I bought a couple of these off Amazon to charge my M9 Pro.
