if you install kitkat 1.7 you can go easily over 20.000 points with antutu and modified kernel.

The performance is noticeable in 1.7 or just the antuntu score is raised?
When I flash the 1.7 do I have to flash the kernel again or I can flash together with the ROM?
And is deep sleeping working, any way around to fix it? Searched the forum but didn't find anything, maybe I missed something?

You're right, even without SIM, or in airplane mode the deep sleep NEVER works on stock ROM (and early Riley's too when the libril... is not replaced with another one).

I've tried the modified libril with kitkat. My M6 Pro 3G is going into deepsleep now.
Also 3G is still working . Seems to be compatible.

How did you do that ? I tried the root explorer app but for some reason I can't rename it.

I've not tried to replace the file with an explorer, i used an app called Arctools. Found it by google.
I think its made for tuning roms from another forum but you can also use it for replacing the libril file.

Just google for it ("arctool pipo deep sleep" for example). its done with pressing two buttons.

ah, that's from the kasty roms... good idea... I also tried to enable multi-user with arctools but that didn't work, I'm afraid. Would be awesome if there was a workaround for that, too.

Like I've said earlier in this, and other KitKat threads is that I was wanting to get a baseline of what worked and what didn't work on these preview beta KitKat ROM's.

I was putting this libril file in my 4.2.2 ROM's, but I wasn't sure it was necessary in KitKat, so I left it out. My next ROM will have patch included as I did before...no problem.

Meantime, thanks for posting feedback on this ROM.

I've tried several of the kernels suggested and still get lockups with them. Even the kemmen version crashes on me now.... After switching back to the orig Ripley supplied kernal, it works fine... I had reinstalled the full 1.7 ROM with Claro and it was a no-go, switched back to kemmen version (witch had been working with the low score gain) no longer works. Not sure what is up.....I will try to re-download all the kernels again and give it a try again.....

The kernels are specific to each ROM version so just make sure you're using the 1.7 version of the kernels. I'm currently running the claro version and very stable.
