Thanks wasser (and to koying too); xbmc 13.2 with latest spmc fixes must be a winner here, probably with no subtitles issues (many times do not appear or not being shown) and video playing problem aborting the movie after some minutes playing.

Do you will come out with a new wasser version for Neo X7?. For me v1.0.4 is working good but I had to stick with the original package v1.0.4.; unfortunately as soon I flash an OverClock kernel v1.0.3a which work, but the OTG-USB port is lost (dead) after that; in my case I will appreciate OC kernels for v1.0.4 with the OTG port alive, working. Some people may be do not notice this because may be do not use the port, but in my case I notice immediately because straight after flashing I connect devices to that port. Thanks.

does the new wasser xbmc also include the fixes for the hw-acceleration?
koying said on his page that his spmc have some features (private api) which makes the hw-acceleration for rockchip more effeciency ^^ or even better
so does this wasser xbmc also inlcudes this api ? so better hw-acceleration?

          thx

Yes wasser works fine but only on the original v1.0.4, but flashing the v1.0.3a overclocked kernels cause the port get "dead".
kindly can you please re-check this, in my case specific I use "kernel-minix-x7-ddr720-cpu1704h-gpu798h-1080p" but I had tested as well the other OC kernels options with the same problem, losting the functionality of the OTG port. Thanks.

Hi Ant, Molle, Thanks. I confirmed that CWM is present by booting to recovery mode. I yet to take backup.

Hi Wasser, small donation on your way for excellent kitkat ROM, Transaction ID: 2LJ68082L70952359.

                  My feedback regarding the ROM:
                  Highlights:
                  1. Extremely FAST ROM compared to V10 stock ROM
                  2. I setup multi user and everything works great. Its truly mini PC now with multiple logins.
                  3. Dloby/DTS Passthru works perfect with wasser xbmc 1.2. Yet to verify 1.3
                  4. Most of the apps works perfect with RK remote control

Need fix (most probably applicable ONLY for my application scenario): Any pointers to apps, tweaking etc are appreciated.
                  1. User select option in quick settings menu (As in attached image)

                  2. I always use SMB to access movies in XBMC. I noticed that XBMC crashes when repeatedly do
                  following action.
                  a. Watch a video for few mins and close
                  b. Then Watch another movie for few mins and close.
                  c. Then Watch another video for few mins and close.
Note that this is not to stress test the HW/FW but to watch all my home videos of my kids. However, the same issue was seen even with stock FW v10. So I assume that the issue is probably due to samba server.

                  3. The most important one. Audio stops playing when I lock the screen using any app or sleep option. However, no issue with my android tablets/phone running kitkat even after screen lock. This is most annoying as I want to protect the user login by locking the screen but need audio playback from the device. BTW, I'm using HDMI for audio also. I searched internet and could not get any useful solution.

Overall, I'm more than satisfied with Minix X7 + Wasser FW as a daily driver to replace my PCBSD based HTPC. Thanks again Wasser for your quality time and efforts.

Also thanks to forum members for friendly atmosphere.

Drag the app shortcut to top centre of the screen. It will turn red, drop to remove whilst red.

1080p50 plays only with stutter ?

                        Dear all!

I have a MultiConsole (=Minix X7) and tried various firmwares (JustXBMC, Wasser, QS3, Miracle,...). The firmwares work really smooth - but I am not able to solve one problem: My homemade videos in 1080p50 will not playing correctly on any of the firmwares.

                        Problems are:
                        - stuttering
                        - and/or growing time lag between video and audio (video is playing more slowly than Audio).

Even if the videos are small (app. 50 MB) and directly on the SD card.

I have searched the forum for possible solutions - but didnt find any? Maybe anyone of you has an idea?

                        Thx in advance!

                        Regards

                        Oliver

P.S.: On my Raspberry Pi B+ with OpenELEC (a special XBMC version) the videos play perfectly....

@ Flyscooter - Have you tried turning down the refresh rate to 50hz or 24hz in the screen settings?
What player are you using to playback the files? I'd recommend mxplayer.

@ Orak - no worries mate...

@Ant: Stupid question: Where can I turn down the refresh rate? In XBMC or in the system settings?

settings > screen > hdmi mode (from android home screen)
There is many options within the menu (try 1080p 50hz or 24hz I always set to 24hz or even 23hz if available), once set xbmc will mirror the setting.
If your using xbmc for playback within the xbmc system > settings > video? (I think) there is a setting to sync video with playback that may help with the audio/visual sync.
