Probably easier to just modify your build.prop. use build prop editor available on playstore and backup your old one.

Could we modify the code or remove that line? Maybe change "rk3" and/or "neo-x" to " " ?
I don't know enough to even know what file that is contained in so I'm just taking a wild guess.

I don't have the code in front of me now as I am on holidays but I removed that minix check in the new Beyond. If I remember right it originally checks if it is a OUYA and if it isn't it then checks if it is a minix. I just left the Ouya check there as it needed different encoding and made the minix check work for everyone else.

So yes, it is quite an easy fix if there is anyone there who can compile it for you at the moment.

BTW, I saw CMW-recovery.img in Wasser's ROM in system->vendor->preinstall. Wasser XBMC and ES File explorer are also present in same folder. Is it possible that CWM recover is already installed in wasser ROM?

You know what, I'm just gonna sit back and wait for Beyond. I'm not in that big a rush..... That is now the only option I see as a solution.

I think that original Minix build.prop have this:
ro.product.model=NEO-X7-216A

so you could change to that or something that begins with "neo-x" because that's what koying test.

Try contacting the app developer (root keeper) and see if they can update the app for compatibility with 4.4

That looks fine, it should work. I'll upload my working pass through build.prop once the kids go to bed for those who don't know how to edit their own build.prop

I think your in the wrong thread but the answer to that question is spmc because it is the only version with a working 10 minute bug fix.
