I dont't know where this bug originates; first I thought it had to do with the audio output device not sticking, but that's solved now so it must be something else.
This error occurs on quick shot v3.1 as well as minix kit kat. I was hoping it worked on wasser. Oh well.

Just disable hardware acceleration (both libstagefright and mediacodec) and play again the same movie and you will see that now it can work; you can run in some cases with no problem software accel, but sometimes you will need to disable all the hardware and software acceleration features into xbmc. This is the well know bug of 10 minutes mark playing some HD content into xbmc for android and rockchip devices; we as a owner of these devices just need to deal with the deficiency whilst xbmc team fix it, may be if they can or if they want for the next xbmc-14 Helix next generation, how knows!!

Koying has included fixes in it that were left behind by the xbmc team for the helix edition. I can confirm that this error has been fixed in this version. Spmc was originally made for ouya but it will work on any

Just check xbmc forum or Mashup forum; the problem is very well documented with many testimonies from the people. Icefilms addon is one of the most problematic; but there some other sources that suffer of this frozen video problems . Congratulations for you ouya, but here with rk3188 devices (Minix X7) it´s true and very common problem unfortunately, not solvable with any of the xbmc versions available up to date, frodo or gotham, original or customized.
For those who want to try for themselves go to http://spmc.semperpax.com
There is also no frameskips when using medicodec acceleration on this version
BTW awesome rom Ive tried them all and yours is the best one I've used. Simple and functionalLast edited by ngoal; 21 July 2014, 04:48.

XBMC team had refused to talk about H/W video codec from MXPlayer that is demonstrated that works properly with all of the content that show problem with hardware video acceleration modules into xbmc, because they say that this is a closed privated source that they can not deal with it; but if not officially through this "unofficial fork" they had implemented it would be great for the users. I don´t know everything, I´m just tired of loosing time with this problem, and now you assure that this is solved on this version you recommend, it will be great if XBMC support this affirmation
, because this had been long disscussed thru their official forum and none of them had come with this advice for the people with android tv boxes on chinese SOC; even koying had mentioned anything about it on Minix Forum, why? If people had been requesting a solution for that problem.

He mentioned it in the unoffical ouya forum. The problem lies with the software that was used to encode the videos. Koying has fixed this bug. I tried a couple videos I knew of that had this issue and they all work now. Try some for your self and see. IN my experience it was a rare bug and I can only think of a few videos that had the issue to try.
