The subtitles are found and supodsely loaded, but are not being shown on the movie or the video; there are not error message just simply not being shown.
So, I had reinstalled spmc 13.2.1 and configured from "zero" the repositories and addons and now the substitles are being shown and working perfectly. So that restore method work only from gotham to gotham and from spmc to spmc; it´s not 100% cross compatible.
These are great news for the Neo X7; this wasser kitkat custom firmware and the other from cloudproject with a 16 Gb single nand-flash partition, pre-rooted, true 1080p (slightly OC) and the spmc 13.2.1 (with 10 min video freezing bug solved) are the biggest boost for this device. Thanks Wasser, thanks koying, thanks ngoal for sharing.

Obviously at this time I'm using wasser's ROM and XBMC included with the firmware. My problem is with XBMC, I get sound lag on everything I try and stream (within 10 minutes of starting the stream) to the point where I have to stop the feed. At this point I'll add I've tried other custom and official XBMC builds but the issue still exists
I have a very basic setup (x7 direct to tv via hdmi) and I've had a play with the settings on both android and XBMC but I can't resolve the massive lag?
So, any advice or setting recommendations will be greatly received. I open to try anything to keep this ROM on my x7.
Thanks guys!
PS. Many thanks to wasser for this ROM. It's the best kk build I've used on the x7. MINIX should take note of how a good 4.4.2 build should work, silky smooth and super fast!

Installation procedure
Hi All, I'm new to X7. I'm currently running stock FW v10. I need your help for the installation procedure for Wasser FW. I downloaded FW zip and extracted. Also I downloaded RK Batch tool. I have two questions.
1. My Minix X7 is not detected with RKBatch tool (No GREEN light for device no 1). However, if I run RKbatch tool V1.7 downloaded from minix, it shows GREEN for device no 1. So can I use RKbatch tool V1.7 from Minix to load Wasser FW?
2. After selecting FW image in RK Batch tool, do I need to select "restore" first or ONLY "Upgrade" is sufficient?
Thanks.Last edited by balaji; 25 July 2014, 15:25.

Anyway your suggestion was good, my hdmi/avi port on the tv was causing the problem. Soon as I swapped out the cable problem was gone???? Also I was able to then update my LG tv software now the issue was identified and the port now works with no lag. WHOOP WHOOP!
So many thanks bud

The issue is my minix X7 is not detected by Wasser tool but it is detected by original minix tool. Thanks.
Are you sticking a pin in the restore hole before pushing power. Hold the pin down until the green light is on then release ( about 10 seconds). You need to do this to get all rockchip devices into flash mode. No reason to use the specific batch toll just flash the image.

Hi ngoal, actualy problem was specific to configuration for my laptop and thanks for your help.
For the benefit of others, here is my problem detail and solution. This might help someone with same issue.
Problem:
I have win7 64bit PC and installed all the drivers from various sources including minix official website, wasser FW etc. However, my minix X7 was only detected by RKBatch tool 1.7 downloaded from minix official website. None of the custom RKBatchtool was able to detect my minix x7.
Note that I follow below procedure to flash.
- Power off and disconnect all the cables from minix
- Connect mini USB to USB cable between minix and PC
- Connect power adaptor
- Press and hold "RECOVERY" button
- Press and hold "POWER" button
- One PC detects an USB device attached, I run RKBatch tool as admin
By following above procedure, I get GREEN light ONLY when I use minix official RKBatch tool. No other kitkat flashtool detects my x7.
Solution:
I did various changes with the procedure mentioned above, I tried to install various driver versions (3.5, 3.7 etc).
To cut long story short, I found a configuration called "SUPPORTLOWUSB" in config.ini file. This file is used for RKBatchtool.exe.
Minix official flashtool has "TRUE" flag set for "SUPPORTLOWUSB" (SUPPORTLOWUSB=TRUE), whereas the one I downloaded from wasser does not have any value, so default is "FALSE". After I changed the config.ini in wasser's file, my X7 was detected and test are easy as you mentioned.
Actually, my laptop is 2013 make from ASUS and it has both USB3.0 (2 ports) and USB 2.0 (1 port). I always connected to USB 2.0 port, however, I'm not sure why the USB1.1 needs to be enabled in config file.
Now I'm writing from minix x7 running GREAT wasser FW. The response of kitkat is amazing...
Hi wasser, thanks for your great effort. I'll give any feedback once I run for some time.

2.Rename the kernel you want to try from the kernel pack kernel.img
3.Copy kernel.img to the root of internal sdcard (use included ES Explorer)
4.Open terminal emulator and type these commands:
su
flash_image kernel /sdcard/kernel.img
There is a space between kernel and /. Don't miss it !
