Also, who ever is having issues mounting multiple external storage, try any 3rd party app, Paragon lets you choose the mount directory.

no, it's new kernel which has an correct fix for ir-remote.

I will upload new boot image soon which supports mouting multiple external storage.

            A question for Wasser:

In my T428 i use the system.img from this rom http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/...ware-20140113/

because is the newest kitkat rom from pipo (also volume + / - work well and very good video decoding)

i use this system.img with my kernel 1080p http://d-h.st/6q2 compiled from the new kernel source code inside the leaked sdk 4.4.2 from cnx-software

all working very well in T428

In my Minix x7 if i use your kernel, and the above system.img the minix x7 not start.

are you using the old source code of minix with android 4.4.2 configuration parameters (in this way i can compile a full working kernel for minix x7 that work only with the old mk908 4.4.2 system.img) or you are using the new kernel leaked in the 4.4.2 sdk (in which i can't enable the usb hub) ?

i'm using the kernel leaked in the 4.4.2 sdk to make kernel for minix x7. it looks like you have only flashed my system.img and kernel.img. boot.img/recover.img are important. You have to flash them too.

Please don't mix stuff from pipo and my rom. It doesn't work!

Well. How we can enable the usb hub of minix devices inside the new leaked source code ?

                  Wasser,

Some updates. I tried testing the OC kernels and was having bad crash syndrome. I tried flashing the oc kernel along with everything else (parm, misc, etc) from scratch and couldn't get the x7 to boot, it would crash all the time. Then tried flashing the new ir fix kernel and got that to boot, then the OC kernel over that and it booted but was very unstable. Just FYI.

Also, do you have any thoughts on what the issue is with the vol+/- only going from 100% to 0% and nothing in between when using an external rf keyboard? Seems strange volume works fine on your usb keyboard but not on our rf keyboards.

                  Thanks and keep it up.

Hi There! I also would like to chime in to this topic and drop my 2 cents:

First of all, to @wasser, thanks for the incredible effort so far! In general, this rom runs very smooth with your current kernel, including ethernet (did not try the X7 remote).

One of the reasons I would like to switch to a more stock Android ROM based on a more complete SDK, is that I use a lot of internet streams that use HLS/Smoothstreaming. With this technique, a player receives an m3u8 manifest with several stream options. The player will dynamically choose the best stream based on available bandwidth and cpu power.

One of the major disappointments of ROM's based on the SDK that Rockchip gives to manufacturers of HDMI sticks/boxes, is that it is impossible to playback these streams. The internal media framework of Android will either not play the video, or within a web browser, the video will start to stream initially but when attempting to switch to the higher quality stream, hang.

With the SDK2-based rom of Strauzo, these streams playback just fine but the ROM has several disadvantages.

Unfortunately, on your ROM, these streams will still not playback properly . Dispite the fact that better streaming support even is one of the key points of Android 4.4

                      Use case:
                      * Get the app "3fm" (of the dutch public broadcasting) from the Play store and open the "kijk" (camera icon) feature. Wait around 20 seconds, stream hangs / app crashes
                      * Same goes for trying playback within the stock browser or Chrome (go to www.3fm.nl).
                      * The "gemist" app, which consolidates live TV streams, visual radio streams and missed programs in to one app offers the ability to choose whatever video player you have installed. But all players fail to play HLS streams.

                      Another problem:
Aside from the 2-port internal USB hub at the side not working (which is known AFAIK), the front USB port does not recognize my Trust media center keyboard. It is a keyboard/trackball combo with a USB RF receiver. But it does not seem to be recognized by the kernel.

When I plug in a Logitech unifying receiver from my PC, the paired keyboard and mouse get recognized immediately.

When i do the SoundAbout workaround, it's fixed, so it seems to depend on the output interface somehow, as if each sound source has its own individual readings.

Any shutdowns by airmouse or similar?

Is there nfs and init.d support?
