I hope this helps, random restarts happen from lag or freezes, where as random shutdowns i had only from Chrome.

Can anybody hint me how to disable any sort of gesture, or keyboard/touchpad/mouse gestures? it is making my X7 useless.

      Thanks, great.

      I am up and running with cpu1704h gpu600h ddr720 1080P
and so far seems very stable
1080 video comes though in tact, and so does 720
no upscaling? Not a problem as my amp will do that

Just looking for hdmi/spdif passthru so that I can watch DD and DTS
      and Multiple USB for convenience.

Thanks Wasser... Rom was performing well before but got an Antutu of 21011 using the new OC'd 720p kernel. Continues to be as stable as before with no adverse behaviour.

"Adaptive playback" is used more and more by providers of online streams.

The Dutch public Television/Radio ( www.npo.nl ) use it for all their live streams, as well as the visual radio streams ( e.g. www.3fm.nl - camera icon ). And the commercial network "RTL" also uses it for it's "RTL XL" app.

When connecting to a live stream, an "m3u8" manifest is downloaded, in which several options for resolutions and bitrates are available. The player chooses the best attainable stream quality based on bandwidth and cpu.

The confusing part: Android 4.4 is not the only version on which it can be supported. The "3fm" app or their mobile website can already use adaptive streaming perfectly on even older Android devices I have owend. But I guess, with kitkat, this can be done more easily whereas, previously, apps would have to implement this themselves.

Lack of adaptive streaming (also refered to as HLS/Smoothstreaming) is a real pain in the ass on almost any ROM available for any Rockchip device. The Android SDK Rockchip has supplied prevents me from using any method to obtain those streams (www.3fm.nl visual radio hangs after 20 seconds, as soon as the player wants to switch to a higher resolution).

The only ROM on which I have seen this working successfully is the Strauzo SDK2 ( 4.2 ) ROM.

+2 for me. Kitkat kernel SPDIF works fine to receiver but can not turn it off. Wasser is very close to sound manager like the sound option of stock rom. Thanks a lot Wasser.

A few more observations after a night of viewing/testing

                  A2 Mouse keys not functioning
                  Tabs
                  Options
                  Main Menu

Volume is either on or off, no steps in between
(Well the steps are there, but not working)
Using MX Player Pro test build

                  Airplane mode icon showing?
Presumably because there is no sim, but there wouldn't be
The option also shows in the Power off menu.

Keep up the good work Wasser

                    Hello,
Is there a way to make stock browser flash compatible?
or at least to make old apps from market compatible? (ex Browser ICS + says is not compatible with my version)

No. With 4.4 Google has moved to Chromium for Android's WebView and this means KitKat (and future Android versions) no longer (officially) supports Flash at all. There is a way though:
                      • Install Dolphin browser (and enable Flash support)
                      • Install this hacked version of Flash

                        Wasser,

I am trying to download the following overclock kernel:
                        kernel-ddr720-cpu180-720p
Unfortunately this is no .zip fie but .img
Will you be so kind to correct this?

All flashable image files have .img suffix. It's a valid kernel.

i have to be very conservative with OC-ing in my box as it seems.

                              OC Images

I have just loaded cpu1704h gpu600h ddr800 1080P and it boots without problems

Previously under Finless 1.8 I could only get to ddr 720
Not that I need the speed, no gaming and little 1080 video

I can confirm that the SPDIF signal does come through
                                No hdmi audio

Volume control only On or Off
                                gradations between are ignored

                                Hope this helps?
