The issue for me on other jb ROMs; I would get random hangs when every I started a task/app. Then I get the wait or FCC, I'd have to hit wait, then it would load. This issue doesn't seem to be present in this romvfor men why I'm sticking with it. Only thing I'd like to see improved is 1080p xbmc playback; its jittery. But, MX player does the job fine.

The KitKat firmware is spoofing a Samsung Galazy S3. model GT-I9300

      Sorry, I tried.

      Same thing happens for me.
We still have 6 months to go in order to fix it. ☺

And about the audio, still no passthrough right?
Is It there somehow, or a no go?

Seems to me that video and game is running good?

An update on whats working and not would be so nice :-D
I've been using this ROM for almost 1 month now and I'm very happy with it. All I do is use mxplayer and hulu plus on it. With some occasional Netflix.
Video playback is fantastic. Picture quality is stunning and I haven't had any crashes.

I tested the Minix with wifi and Bluetooth disabled. Same thing.

I have a K-R42 with the same KitKat 4.4.2 kernel and firmware installed and I see the same Ethernet behaviour.

It would be very interesting if you do NOT see this behaviour. It is super easy to test...

          1) Just boot the Minix up without the Ethernet cable connected

          2) go into Android settings for ethernet and watch the status.

          3) plug in the Ethernet cable

Did the Minix "connect" or does it still say "unconnected"?

I have to physically remove the cable and plug back in, or toggle the check box to make the Minix "connect"

If no one else sees this, then it must be me.
Although the TP Links are very buggy devices, the case here is your box as it seems. I havent had an ethernet problem ever since the 14th january kernel release, and ethernet can be hot-plugged without any problem.

            Hi Pluto,

Thanks for taking the time to do the ethernet experiment. I don't believe it is my box since I get the same results on the Minix X7 and the K-R42 running the same firmware and Kernel. If YOU booted your Minix without ethernet cable connected, then plugged it in and the Minix "connected", then it must be working correctly, and the problem is on my side.

Of course my ethernet works great once it is connected. I can hot plug it all day and it will always reconnect. The problem is only seen on the first boot with cable disconnected.

Wasser has made this amazing Firmware for us. If there are any issues that we can bring to his attention before he releases the next version, the firmware gets that much closer to being perfect.

              Hi Lachyzee,

I tried one last experiment by going into the build.prop editor and changing the Model name from "GT-I9300" to "rk31sdk". No luck. I still get the same message "Your device isn't compatible with this version".

Following this comment I flashed the spdif kernal today
but I do not get any sound coming through on spdif or hdmi

No Sound options for selecting output either......

Has anyone used this kernal successfully?

When will you release the next Version?

                      I found another problem.
                      - I use SoundAbout and AUX. If I watch youtube Videos per App the sound sometimes go off and the App say there is no Internet.
If I choose another Video it plays but if I want sound I have to reload SoundAbout.
                      - I use xposed GravityBox (KK). If I click 'Schnelleinstellung Anpassen' (to odrer the quicksettings) it crashes

and if I used Advanced PowerMenu and choose Soft Reboot the System Ui crashs after Booting

Could it be true that my TP Link WR841 crashs if I use my Minix x7? Sometimes I only have low Internet speed and I have to reconnet to the TP Link Switch.

Any clue how what would have to be done to get USB cameras working?

USB camera only works partially at the moment, somehow usb sound still doesn't work.

I'm using 1800h 798h ddr800 1080P oc kernel, but my IR Remote (the stock one) isn't working. Are the OC Kernels patched for IR-Remote or I must use something else?

Thanks for the awesome rom, anyway

Strange, thanks a lot for trying!

NB - Can this ROM be installed easily in some way through CWM? Thanks

I think I just found a strange bug. Whenever you apply a Static IP address to the Ethernet interface (I didn't try with WiFi) you will end up with a bootloop on the next reboot. I will try to do some more test tomorrow.
